  • Softfeather and Midnightgaze strolled back into camp, Softfeather carrying two mice, Midnightgaze a pigeon. Little did they know, they had set into motion the Prophecy of a Thousand Years. But, not just them...

"How bad is she, Mouseclaw?" An old, grizzled, mottled red tom croaked.
Another sighed. "Only time will tell, Fangfur. But," he went on, hushed, "when the kit was born, I saw a prophecy."
    "Really?"

"When six cats, no different from any other, combine their efforts, they will leave an impression that will last a thousand years."

  • Midnightgaze dropped her pigeon, while Softfeather dropped her mice. Midnightgaze said nothing, just blinked at the apprentice.
Softfeather glance at Midnightgaze, "She doesn't talk much. No one knows why. But, if you look carefully, you can understand just by her expressions." She smiled. "What are you up to? Want me to show you how to get yourself upright if you're upside down on a tree branch?" She purred. "I've had to do it a number of times."

(OOC: The little paragraph in italics was a short flashback.)

  • Midnightgaze glanced at Snowangel, and acknowledged her with a small flick of her tail. Softfeather smiled at her. "Hey, wanna go explore the deepest part of the territory?" Her eyes gleamed, "I've heard that there's a fallen, hollowed out tree. I want to go in that tree!"

  • Midnightgaze looked uneasy, but trailed behind, always beside her companion. Although she didn't voice her fears, she was afraid of what they would find at the fallen tree.

Softfeather entered a clearing, gaping in shock. A huge, immense log lay in the center, hollowed out from end to end. "Wow!"
Midnightgaze sniffed. There was an odd, herb-scent on the air. She flattened her ears, flicking her tail. Softfeather didn't notice the change in her friend, she was creeping towards the log.

(Yes! Join them near the tree; it's important!!)

  • Ooc: I'm gonna ask that too. But I'm gonna also have a short roleplay paragraph to go with it! Just delete it if the slots are full...

Otterfeather walked up to the group of warriors. "Hey guys! What's this about a fallen tree?" She asked happily. "Can I go with you?" She asked.

  • (Yes! All places are taken! Now, Just go along... It's part of the prophecy.)

"Come on! I wanna see what's in there!" Softfeather's voice was high-pitched in excitement. She slid into the log.
"Wait!" Midnightgaze opened her mouth, letting out a small, but loud, beautiful voice. She darted into the log after Softfeather.

  • Ooc: okay!

Otterfeather looked into the hollow log. She stepped inside without hesitation. "Whoa! A fox could live here!" She replied with excitement.

  • Softfeather was looking around, sitting on the moss-padded insides of the log. "Come on in! It's comfortable; kinda cool, but not cold. Better than the heat outside! Almost feels like a bed, too!"
Midnightgaze looked worried, looking around uneasily.

Suddenly, as if guided by something, Softfeather got up and padded up to a darker corner. "There are herbs here! They smell funny!" She purred, wrinkling her nose. "Let's eat some! I dare you!" Her eyes gleamed.

  • "No, thanks." Wolfstrike mumbled. "It almost looks like this log was a home to something almost...... I mean, the herbs, moss, it's just a little odd, don't you think?" Wolfstrike asked.

  • Otterfeather wrinkled her nose. "I dunno, one time I ate a herb, and I gaged. It was awful... But, if you say so..." She mewed, and picked a herb.

  • Softfeather took a big, hairy leaf in her mouth. "Come on! Eat thome!" She mumbled around it, "I dare you!"

Midnightgaze stared at her a moment, then sighed. She took the leaf, chewed and swallowed. Nothing happened.

  • Otterfeather motioned a vomiting scene. She shook her head, and popped there in her mouth. "Ugh..." She mumbled.
