I have to deal with him?! (country girl meets city slicker love story)

    This is Evie and her horse Black Jack , she's a country horse whisperer. She deals with all types of horses and problems and people may think she's cold and harsh to people but the truth is she's amazing at what she does, she doesn't need people so when a city slicker from Boston comes along after he's sent here to spend the summer with his grandfathers old friend.. well let's just say that she gets pissed.


    This is Evie:

    he's a quarab. Which is a Quarter Horse and Arabian mix

    Daniel sat in an old truck. He was sent to the country for some random reason. He sighed and looked out the window.

    Evie sat her hat upon her head and pulled on her black cowboy boots prepared to go for some work time with Black Jack. "Grandpa I'm going to go work with Black Jack!" She called and headed out the door. Before her foot took a step forward her grandfather caught her arm.


    "Not so fast! Daniel's coming today!" He smirked at his granddaughter. "You have to be on your best behavior as well! He's here for the whole summer." She groaned and sat back down at the table.

    Daniel arrived at a house. He looked out the window, "This is where I'm staying?" he asked, horrified, "oh my god."

    Grandpa peered outside the window and saw the truck pull up. "Look! He's here." He walked out and towards the truck.


    "Go to hell." Evie whispered and walked out slamming the door behind her and walking fast to the barn. She grabbed black jacks reigns and put them on before mounting and trotting out of the barn.


    "Evie! Get back here!" Her grandfather called after her as she changed leads into a left lead canter.

    "Sorry about that Daniel. She doesn't like people very much and she was already mad when I wouldn't let her ride earlier. Anyway I'm James." He stuck out his hand to shake. "So, I know this isn't what you're used to."

    He took his hand and shook it, "It's nice to meet you sir, I'm Daniel." he said.

    "Your Grandfathers told me a lot about you." He motioned to the house. "Want to come inside?"


    Evie slowed down once she got into the woods and rested her head on Black Jacks shoulder. She breathed deeply and pulled on Black Jacks reigns and walked back slowly.

    He laughed slightly, "Well that sounds like something my granddad would do." He said and smiled. He picked up his bags.

    James opened the door and then saw Evie appearing out of the small forest of birch trees. He opened his mouth but Evie got there before him. "I'll be in the barn. Then coming back inside. There's another horse coming later this afternoon." She jumped off and brought the reigns over Black Jacks head and stocked off to the barn.

    After 15 minutes she came back out Black Jack following her, she turned around his head bumped into her shoulder. She giggled and stopped him pointing back at the barn she pushed on his neck lightly turning him around and pushing him towards the barn. Reluctantly he left and she turned back and walked inside the house.

    Daniel nodded and walked in, "Ah where should I put my bags sir?" he asked.

    "Evie will show you to your room. You can put your bags in there." Grandpa looked at her and narrowed his eyes.


    "Common on then." Evie quipped walking down the corridor and paused at the bottom of the stairs.

    He walked over to her and smiled, "Right behind you." he said.

    "Your room is on the second floor, second on the right. Mine is on the third, third on the left. Grandfathers is on the very bottom floor. Bathroom is on the first on the right." Evie explained as she walked up the stairs. "Your name is Daniel right?"

    "Yeah," he said, "And your Evie, right?"


    OOC: is it okay if he has a slight English accent? if not he'll just have a normal accent from america :P

    "Yeah I am." She shouldered a door open. "Anyway this is yours." She pushed her back against the door to keep it open and so he could get through.

    He smiled and walked in, "Thanks." he said, winking at her.

    "Your welcome. When you're done unpacking grandpa will probably want me to show you around. How good are you with horses?" She backed up and kept open the door with her hand and leaned against the door frame. She took off her hat and began braiding her hair down the side.
