  • Hello there, the angel from my nightmare The shadow in the background of the morgue The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley We can live like Jack and Sally if we want Where you can always find me We'll have Halloween on Christmas And in the night we'll wish this never ends We'll wish this never ends

Eliza sat by the lake, little bugs drifted lazily in the air, and Eliza's hair followed. The warm day was soon to become dusk, and a few of the evening stars had begun to show. She watched in deft awe, as light turned to twilight. Her large round eyes blue like the night sky, were obsidian obolisks compared to the milky creme of the fading day. Eliza listened as birds began to settle and night creatures began to awaken from their day-long slumber. Her beautiful silence was interrupted by light footsteps from the cabins. "Yes?" she asked. She turned her face towards a shadow that had accumulated. "Who's there?" she asked. Her long snowy hair layed at her hips, and fringed in the breeze.

Where are you and I'm so sorry I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight I need somebody and always This sick strange darkness Comes creeping on so haunting every time And as I stared I counted Webs from all the spiders Catching things and eating their insides Like indecision to call you and hear your voice of treason Will you come home and stop this pain tonight Stop this pain tonight Don't waste your time on me you're already The voice inside my head (I miss you, I miss you) Don't waste your time on me you're already The voice inside my head (I miss you, I miss you)

  • Jake stepped out into the open. He wore pure black clothing, black hiking boots, complete with a black sword hanging from his waist. His dark brown hair was incredibly messy, and his eyes, black as night, were content. "Hey," he greeted, as the night air made his sword sway lightly.

  • Eliza looked at Jake, his dark figure nearly disapeared against the growing shadows. "Who are you?" she asked. A small dagger sat at her waist, it's silvery sheath glimmered with the sheen of poison. The dagger had seen just as many battles as Eliza had, and that was an absolute zero. The sheath was tied to a white leather belt strug around her thin waistline. While most Camp Halfblood girls wore armor around every day, Eliza wore riding pants and a long sleeved t-shirt with a hood. A lot of the campers thought that it was weird for the daughter of such a graceful goddess to wear such plain clothing.

  • Jake chuckled, resting his hand on his sword's handle, which had killed enough monsters to show dents, scratches, and other imperfections. "That's for me to know and you to find out," he said simply, with an air of mystery. "You must be new, I didn't see you the last time I was here. Either that or you were hiding," he added, taking a few more steps towards her.

  • Eliza scootched back a slight bit, "I've been here for a year now, and what's with the sudden interest?" she asked. "I'm not really comfortable with it" she muttered under her breathe. The moon began it's climb above the horizon. Slowly grasping it's way until it sat high in the sky looking down on them. Eliza turned to the moon, and seemed almost in a trance. The crickets stopped chirping, and the yells of campers as well. "Hello mom" she said. Her voice was soft and childlike. Time was frozen, just as water would be in the winter. "I'm here Mom"

  • Jake began walking away, even after the time stopped. "You're the one who showed interest in me, sweetheart," he said over his shoulder as he walked back to the cabins.

  • Eliza turned around, her round eyes blank of expression. "You really shouldn't talk to the daughter of a titan that way," she said. The childish sound had disappeared and was replaced by a cold empty one. Time slowly resumed, but Eliza's face remained stone-like.

  • Jake spun around, a smirk playing on his lips. "A child of Hades can do whatever he wants," he murmured. The sound carried out loudly and left a small echo behind it. He began making his way back to the Hades cabin that he was rarely in.

  • Eliza sat there, then looked back at the moon. "He's mean Mom" she said. The moon didn't respond, it only began it's descent. As it became dawn Eliza lumbered back towards her makeshift cabin.

  • Jake walked up to the obsidian building with skeletal torches on the outside. The inside was bare except for a single black bunk bed and bedside table. He changed into pajamas and left his black sword leaning against his bed. Getting under the covers of his bed he drifted off to sleep.

  • The sun quickly ascended in the sky, and Eliza drifted out from her cabin. Her soft footsteps were quiter than a mouse, yet most of the campers turned to look when she approached. The morning dragged on, and Eliza had already eaten breakfast by the time it was called.

  • Jake woke up around eleven in the morning. He got dressed in black pants, black shirt, black jacket, and black boots, and strapped his sword to his side. As he emerged from his cabin a few people ran away,or looked in the opposite direction. "Good thing I'm not staying for long," he mutters under his breath as he begins wandering the camp.

  • Eliza stopped when she saw Jake heading her way. Today her white hair was tied in a long braid swung over her shoulder. She wore a mint green t-shirt that had the Sierra Mist brand printed on it, and a pair of faded jeans.

  • Jake didn't notice her and continued on the path towards the empty amphitheatre. The hot sun beat down on his olive skin down and black hair, creating beads of sweat on the back of his neck.

  • Eliza watched him pass, and only moved after he did. Her quiet steps started up again as she followed Jake. She knew she didn't want to, but she was too unsatisfied with the prior night's confrontation to stop herself.

  • Jake didn't notice, he was much too distracted with the wonderful thought of training on dummies instead of real monsters. When he arrived there was no one else there. Taking his sword out, he began slicing and hacking at the straw filled dummies until they were a pile of cloth, then he moved to the next one. As the sun beat down on him, he took off his black jacket to reveal a short sleeved black t shirt that framed fairly muscled arms.

  • Eliza watched him violently slice and destroy the dummies. Her eyes widened to take in the whole sight, she was going to talk to him of course, just after she finished watching. Her skinny figure was hidden behind the thick wooden door. The only thing that gave the sneaky girl away was the reflection coming off of her single poisoned dagger. The light danced across the room, and pulsed with a sickening potentcy

  • When the sun reached its full height Jake sat down, sword in hand. He was dripping with sweat and a hot breeze blew over the amphitheatre. Why didn't I bring water? He thought to himself, using his shirt to wipe the sweat off his face.

  • Eliza emerged from her hiding spot, the sun beamed through her hair. "I wasn't very happy about how you talked to me yesterday!" she said accusingly. Her fists were clenched, but she had the appearance of an angry child. A threatening stance, but with no gusto to carry out the job

  • Jake stood up and walked towards her, sword in hand, with no visible effect by a few words. "Do you have anything important to say?" he asked, itching to practice more.
