    Kim laughed, "same here". She twirled her long, blond hair. "So, what school do you go to?" "I go to Drendon High."

    Jake stopped "wait you said you go to Drendon High right? cuz if so then in 2 days I will be going to your well our school" he said laughing a little "and so far i've been home schooled" he said

    Kim's eyes widened. "Really?" She asked, liking the idea of him going to her boring school. "Well, you came at the worst time" she joked. "We have a formal dance coming up like, next weekend" she said, sighing at the thought, then quickly smiling.

    Kim shrugged. "Well, sort of, yeah" she shifted her feet uncomfortably. "You wanna hang out later?" She asked suddenly.

    "Sure oh and these are the best" he said handing her a box of head phones "I will be right back" he said going to the back room and getting a purple pair he came back out "Here you go"

    Kim looked at them. "Thanks!" She said. She quickly wrote down her number on a piece of paper. "Text me when you are ready to go out. Tell me where you wanna go."

    Kim finished paying for her headphones and walked out. She got into her car and drove home. Wait. Did she just make a date? She quickly jumped in the shower, curled her hair and tried to find a cute outfit. What to wear? She imagined how she would look next to Jake. He was amazingly handsome and she was average. She pulled out a yellow ruffled top and a denim skirt. That outfit would be okay for many places. . . Unless they were going to a baseball game or something. She laughed at the thought and finished, finally putting on a little makeup. She sat on the couch, waiting for him to text her back.

    Kim called to her mom that she was leaving and got into her white convertible. She drove down to the yogurt place and parked. When she walked inside, she scanned the room, looking for Jake.

    Kim jumped and turned. "Well, I have a date with-" she joked and stopped suddenly. Her cheeks instantly flushed red. "Sorry" she said, putting a lock of hair behind her ear and looking down.
