    As Hollystar, Moonpaw, Dappleheart, and Cloudpatch entered camp. Jadepaw ran over to them. "What is it" Hollystar meowed wondering if any snakes had come to the camp and bitten another cat.

    OCC: They are trying to get rid of the snakes on their territory. Dustpaw was already bitten and Hollystar lost her first life saving Mosspaw from a snake. They tried stuffing a rabbit with death berries but it didnt work and now the new eggs have hatched and the snakes are even more trouble. Hollystar, Cloudpatch, Moonpaw, and Dappleheart just killed one out on patrol and Jadepaw has come up with another Idea to get rid of the snakes but she hasnt told us what it is yet

    Acornfoot guarded the camp when a slithering animal caught her eye. Snake , she thought . She backed away from it but when she turned the either way there was more surrounding her.

    Cloudpatch flicked his ears. He raced toward the sound and he saw Acornfoot and the snakes. Oh-no, oh-no!!! He didn't know what to do.

    Hollystar ran out of camp after Dappleheart and Cloudpatch. Hollystar stared in horror at all the snakes then she jumped on one and bit its throat and killing it then she turned to the next snake.


    Dappleheart jumped into the battle but she was trying to take on three snakes at once and if nobody helped her soon she would be crow food.


    Moonpaw jumped on a snake that was creeping up on Hollystar from behind. Letting out a furious yowl she slashed her claws across its throat killing it.

    Dappleheart raked her claws across the others throat and it hissed at her before finally becoming still. "Thanks" she meowed to Cloudpatch before lunging towards the next snake.


    Hollystar lunged at a snake that was still around Acornfoot. She slashed her claws across its back. The snake turned and hissed at her and then lunged for her. Hollystar dodged just in time and twisted in the air to land on the snake. Hollystar killed it with a swift bite to the neck.


    Moonpaw fought beside Acornfoot driving a snake back that was advancing towards them.

    Acornfoot hissed and snapped the snakes throat. She felt a searing pain on her tail and her blood turned to ice when she saw a large snake hanging off it. She shook it off and glanced at the bite then gave a sad face as she realised the truth. She collapsed on the ground.

    Hollystar saw Acornfoot lying on the ground. She killed the snake in front of her then ran over to Acornfoots side. "Dont leave me" she pleaded to Acornfoot, "I need you" she meowed.

    Cloudpatch didn't stop killing as many snakes as he could. Soon, there were more cats than snakes, and the left over snakes slithered away.

    Dappleheart and Moonpaw sat down beside Hollystar grief filled their eyes.


    Hollystar began to lick Acornfoot like a mother would lick her kit. Her eyes were filled with more sorrow than the rest of them combined. Hollystar had been very close to her deputy.

    Acornfoot was holding back tears. I haven't died yet , she thought hopefully. She had learned enough about snakes to know that their venom spreads through your body quickly. She knew she didn't have much time.

    Hollystar realized what Acornfoot was thinking. "You will be fine, Starclan can see you are a fine warrior with more life to live" she meowed hoping she sounded more confident than she really was.

    Acornfoot wasn't stupid. "There's only one way to make sure the venom doesn't spread", even as she said it Acornfoot wasn't't keen on the idea.
