Alice ran after her.

He stood up as the zombie fell over. He attached his knife to his belt and looked around.

Sam yelled as her ankle twisted and she fell forward, landing on her knees. Luckily she made herself stand up in time and run again, pain shooting up her leg and she blocked back tears.

Alice said "Sam, are you alright?"

kotaro hops down next him the raised an eyebrow. he could hear faint sound of running in the distance.

Jason looked behind him as he heard people. "Do you hear that?" He asked Kotaro.

Sam nodded, "I'm fine, keep running until we hit the fence!" She said between gasps of air, still in the forest but nearing the town.

Alice nodded and continued to run.

He looked around and stealthily followed the noises.

Sam saw the fence in the distance, a tall gray blur. Her leg stung and her ankle was on fire, almost as bad as her lungs. "I think we're good..."Sam choked out between gulps of air.

Alice said "Okay, let's stop and climb up a tree."

Jason got close enough to see them.

Sam nodded and clenched her teeth, eyeing her ankle. She ruffled her fingers through her crazy black hair. "Pick a tree..."

Alice pointed at a pretty tall tree with some big branches.

Sam nodded and looked up it, "I'll follow...." Sam had doubts on how she would get up there with her ankle.

Alice climbed up the tree and held out her hand to help Sam up.

Jason hid in the shadows as he watched the two girls. He accidentally stepped on a twig and it cracked.
