• Buttercupkit was overjoyed. Today was her apprentice ceremony. So far the most important day of her six moon old life. Bouncing around the soon to be apprentice couldn't wait. It was still extremely early, too early to be making this sort of noise. She did not bother or care. She would have to be silent for a whole night after her ceremony so better get everything out of her system now. She also didn't think over the amount of time she had spent here. Many soon to be apprentices would look over the nursery, appreciate their last nights living here. Or living here for many moons possibly if you were she-cat of gender. Buttercupkit continued to rejoice, bouncing over sleeping kits. She couldn't wait for later today, later today she would be that step closer to being a tough and fierce warrior.

  • In the apprentices den, the only sound you heard was the sound of sleeping cats. Already crowded, the den was about to get even more crowded. That's why Eclipsepaw had moved to under a bush in the back of the den. ThunderClan was off to a very fresh start with apprentices. Too fresh, even. Eclipsepaw laid his black head on his white paws. His sister, Aspenpaw, a Siamese with intense blue eyes, made no effort to move. She had a best friend, Londonpaw. Londonpaw was the youngest so far in the den. She was a small silver she-cat with pine green eyes. Eclipsepaw's best friend was Lionpaw. He was a bigger ginger tom with darker stripes. No wonder his name was Lionpaw! Eclipsepaw closed one eye, but he wasn't able to sleep. A dark figure stood over him, and he yowled, "YAAAAAA!" The cat covered Eclipsepaw's mouth with it's paw. Eclipsepaw sighed with relief as he recognized the soft paw of his sister, Aspenpaw. She hissed quietly, "Great, now you woke up the whole camp." Eclipsepaw listened. No, he didn't. He only heard one other cat stirring, and he knew very well that was Buttercupkit.

  • Buttercupkit ignored the glares and groans kits and queens alike send in her direction. Today was to important to deal with mouse brains who were to lazy to get up. Laughing like a numbskull she pranced happily, humming to the entrance of the nursery. Watching the sun almost sluggishly crawl into the azure coloured sky she took a deep breath of the honey sweet air. Then a question bobbed into her mind, she wondered who would be her mentor. Well, she'd find that out when she found it out. One step at a time, right?

  • ooc Can I be her mentor, and could Aspenpaw and Londonpaw become her friends? And can they go on this, like, adventure? Some suggestions :D

ic Eclipsepaw watched the sun rise up above the horizon with his sister. Someday, he will explore outside the territory. And if he did, he knew what cats he'd like to tag along. Silently, he willed for something to happen where apprentices had to go on a journey, not the warriors. Aspenpaw turned to him slowly. "There's going to be a new apprentice before the sun goes down," she reminded me, eyeing Buttercupkit with a slight purr. Eclipsepaw opened his mouth to reply, but his sister saw Londonpaw and followed her, chatting. The two she-cats padded over to Buttercupkit. "Today's your big day!", Londonpaw meowed sweetly. Aspenpaw nodded. "I bet you didn't get any sleep. When I was in your stage, I couldn't sleep," recalled the Siamese. Eclipsepaw watched from a distance with Lionpaw, who just woke up, and blinking sleep from his amber eyes.

  • OOC: Sure, why not?
IC: Buttercupkit nodded, listening intently. " Yeah, your right. " The mongrel kit admitted. " I'm not tired, know. " She protested before anyone had time to tell her how before such an important event she should have got as much rest as possible. " I can't wait! " The she-kit added, running circles around the apprentices. Giggling she asked " I'll be a good apprentice, right? " suddenly a bit unsure of herself, last minute nerves. " I mean... " She suddenly didn't really understand what she meant anymore. " Yeah... I'll be better than good. I'll be the best apprentice Thunderclan has ever seen. I'll have the other clans quaking in their fleabite fur. " She declared, smugly.

  • Londonpaw and Aspenpaw shot each other an amused glance, before Londonpaw burst out purring. "Try telling that to Eclipsepaw and Lionpaw," Aspenpaw laughed. Hearing his name being mentioned with she-cats, Lionpaw looked up, suddenly intent. "What about us?" he demanded, but in his smooth, calm voice. Eclipsepaw looked up, playfully lashing his tail in disgust. Londonpaw giggled, "Oh, nothing, nothing, nothing." Lionpaw lunged at her, playfully tackling her with no effort. Eclipsepaw sat back on his haunches, letting his muscles to relax.

  • Buttercupkit giggled. After a few moments she wrapped up her hysterics and purred " Yeah we said nothing... Nothing apart from me, Londonpaw and Aspenpaw are more awesome then you and Eclipsepaw. " grinning. Jumping to her paws she bounced around the other apprentices, trying to be swift enough to avoid the lunge and possible tackle she was sure Eclipsepaw or Lionpaw would attempt in response to her joke. They might have strength but she was agile and as her mother had always said agility always won.

  • Eclipsepaw sat alone, a little farther back. He hesitated. I should really have some fun for once." He decided in his mind. He always put Clan duties ahead of playtime, and that was always. But, today was just a relaxing day. His mentor was sick, and expelled from mentoring until he fully recovered. Lionpaw looked back at Eclipsepaw, eyes round with curiosity. Finally, Eclipsepaw managed to slink over, and lung at Buttercupkit with soft paws. The Siamese aimed to tackle her over, but he noticed how agile she was. Lionpaw was busy tackling Aspenpaw, and Londonpaw crashed into Lionpaw, knocking him off.

  • Buttercupkit laughed. " Can't catch me! " She teased, leaping over him. Running a riot around the place she pranced around a bit more, leaping over the apprentices. Giggling she purred " You'll never catch me. I can jump higher than a bunny, I'm faster than a whippet and more agile than a squirrel. " proudly, flickering her tail. Smiling smugly she stuck her tongue out at Eclipsepaw.

  • Eclipsepaw crouched low. "Well, I'm more fierce than a badger, more wiser than an owl, and more strong than a monster," he threatened playfully. Lashing his tail, the black and white apprentice tackled his sister with an effortless swipe. Out of the corner of green eyes, Eclipsepaw smiled at the kit. "Cats have advantages and disadvantages. You'll learn more in training," he explained, taking on his teacher mode. He purred as Aspenpaw slid underneath of him. He cuffed his paws around her ears. Londonpaw and Lionpaw were circling each other, growling softly.

  • " Yeah... But you still won't be able to catch me. " The kit boasted proudly, holding her head high. Chuckling the kitten asked " Who'd you think will be my mentor? " tilting her head slightly, in a questioning manor. " I mean what if it's someone that I don't like. " The kitten pre-complained, blowing a lock of stray fur away from her left eye. " After all it could be anyone. " She stated, thoughtfully.

  • While the other three apprentices were called to go on the dawn patrol, Eclipsepaw's eyes wandered around camp, trying to answer Buttercupkit's question. His green eyes rested on a group of young warriors chit chatting at the entrance. One was a white tom with gray spots, and the other was a blue tabby with white paws, chest, ears, and tail. He responded, "it could be Cloudfreckle, or Shimmerstep. They're the more experienced, though not senior, warriors in the Clan without an apprentice." In the black apprentice's mind, he knew that Shimmerstep would be a more fit mentor. She was as agile as Buttercupkit! Cloudfreckle, well, was more like Aspenpaw, stealthy and quiet.

  • " Maybe... " Buttercupkit nodded in agreement. " Might be... " She added gazing over at the two warriors. Grinning she nodded. " Still. Suppose I won't know until I know... If you know what I mean. " She said giggling, she had slightly confused herself with her use of the word 'know' so many times. She wasn't ever sure if her last sentence made sense but she didn't really care or bother about it. After all today was to good a day to be spoiled by momentarily looking like a mouse brain.

  • Eclipsepaw smiled with amusement. He liked this soon-to-be-apprentice. He sat back even farther on his haunches, then fell backwards. He moaned with embarrassment, quickly getting up to see if anyone noticed. Hopefully, no one did. But he looked in front of him and remembered that Buttercupkit was still there. He lied shakily, "that wasn't my fault. That was my twin brother." He cursed himself underneath of his breath, wondering how much of an idiot he must seem to the soon-to-be-apprentice. He was clumsy on some occasions. Once, he fell on RiverClan's leader at a Gathering! Pondering some thoughts, he looked to his left, then out the camp entrance. He saw nothing that could threaten the camp.

ooc Hey, I was thinking, when Buttercupkit becomes Buttercuppaw, can, like, a fire randomly appear? I like to make threads real exciting, if you know what I mean.

  • OOC: Yeah that seems like a good idea.
IC: Buttercupkit giggled, a bemused expression stuck on her face. " Sure it was. " She purred before continuing her hysterics. After all, it was extremely funny especially to this little kit. " It's okay. " She reassured. " I'm clumsy too. One time I even fell into the freshkill pile. I stunk of rabbit and thrush for days! " She told him, stifling a giggle at herself. Flicking her tail she shook her head and looked back up at him, that re-sparked her laughter and she began to giggle again. Her high-pitched giggling drew some attention from warriors and other apprentice in the area but Buttercupkit didn't seem to notice, one bit.

  • The black tom eyed the cats self-consciously, before bursting out purring. "One time I fell out of a tree- onto my mentor!", he recalled. His eyes sparked with happiness. This was what it was like to have fun. The tom was always so stuck up and uptight about his apprentice duties, that he forgot what it was like to have some fun. He lashed his tail playfully, pouncing on a leaf. "Hi guys!", Shimmerstep greeted, trotting over to them. Eclipsepaw jumped, not noticing she was coming. Shimmerstep's blue eyes rested on Buttercupkit. "Today's your big day, isn't it?", she meowed, nudging her on the shoulder. She was slender with long legs, and a feathery tail. She prodded the ground. "Who knows, I might be a mentor today," she sighed longingly. The black apprentice understood that every warrior wanted an apprentice.

  • Buttercupkit listened to Shimmerstep and nodded or said 'yeah' when appropriate. " I'm sure you'd be a great mentor! " Buttercupkit reassured the older cat, smiling. She was trying not to laugh through all of this. She couldn't get the picture of Eclipsepaw falling out of a tree onto his mentor out of her mind. Boy, was it funny. Actually it sounded like something she would do, knowing her clumsy self. She was always falling over her own larger than average paws, or over someone's tail. Mouse brained things that everyone else seemed to avoid and yet she was always doing them. Sometimes she wondered why she was cursed with such bad luck.

  • ooc Just wondering, should they be, like, mates in the future? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

ic Shimmerstep waved her feathery tail in farewell, before padding away. Eclipsepaw turned to Buttercupkit when she left, and burst out laughing. He could picture over and over the startled look on his mentor's face.

    Sorry, was lazy there.

  • OOC: Sure! Your still going to roleplay her mentor or?
IC: Buttercupkit couldn't help but join in. She was laughing so hard she fell over and got a stitch in her side. Pushing herself back to her paws she couldn't help but continue her hysterics as soon as she looked at the apprentice again. They probably looked like a couple of clowns to any nearby cats but Buttercupkit really didn't care.

  • ooc Yep, Yes I am. Unless you want to... Oh, and just saying, you don't need to know this, I'm changing fonts. I'm not sure why I'm telling you...

Eclipsepaw started tearing up from crying, and was becoming breathless. Cloudfreckle, the tom near his mate, Shimmerstep, snarled, "can't working warriors get any sleep? They feed the Clan! You don't think they're exhasted?", he accused the apprentices. The Siamese apprentice hung his head in sudden shame.
