  • Moonstream remained outside, even when it rained and thundered. She would'nt leave her clanmate's body to the comfort of her dry moss. Her soaked fur would wet her moss anyway. She crouched down, and silently sat vigil for Streamfur.

  • Moonstream glanced at Silverpelt, watching the new star twinkle.

  • Stoneclaw flashed open his eyes and practicly flew out of the den the instant he smelt blood. He almost charged into Frostheart. "What in the na- oh my..." Stoneclaw drew his paw back at Streamfur's lifeles body. He looked to Valleyflower, to Moonstream, to Frostheart, then to Streamfur. "What happened! Why didnt anyone wake me?!" Stoneclaw exclaimed, waking Troutstar as the rain raged on.

  • Moonstream looked up at Stoneclaw. "There was a fox. You were ingured, and I did'nt want you to get worse." She meowed. "Especially because the wound is fatal. It does'nt need to reopen." She explained, looking back down at Streamfur. "The fox was huge. It killed her brutally without any mercy. Frostheart fought it off, though."

  • "Oh my StarClan... Streamfur was very brave then, seeing how a smallish cat would stand up to a huge fox..." Stoneclaw turned as he heard Troutstars deep meow. The dark gray tabby male tucked his black paws under his chest and he nested down for vigil. Troutstar jumped to the -out rock and checked for the scent, his golden fur bristling. Stoneclaw growled, " At this rate, the river will flood!! We might need to dig a big ditch for the flood water to stay in. Or maybe some rocks could be pressed together with mud to fill in the gaps..." Stoneclaw turned and walked towards the enterance for camp.

  • Moonstream nodded, eyeing the high river. She glanced at Streamfur's body, then got to her paws, padding near the river. "Smart idea's, Stoneclaw." She praised the tom. She glanced around, and picked up a thick stick. She dug the stick deep into the mud at the side of the river, higher then the water. They would need to see how quickly the river is rising, it was getting dangerous, and soon would have to take part in stopping the river.

  • Stoneclaw smiled and then frowned at the river. How long will it be until an unsuspecting cat falls in and drowns? He thought dipping a black paw in the water. Streamfur or any of the she cats that fought could have been held down by the fox into the river. If that was Moonstream... Stoneclaw shivered at the thought. He trailed his tail over Moonstream as he padded back to camp. Troutstars gray spotted golden fur battered against the cold wind. Winters coming soon... RiverClans leader thought sitting down at the lookout rock.

  • Moonstream followed Stoneclaw, close behind, looking at the ground. She wondered if Riverclan would be okay, esspecially sinse there is danger of flood. She pushed the flood and the fox to the back of her mind, and looked up at Stoneclaw. "How is your wound?" She asked, her fur brushing his.
