    Victorystar stood in his den, licking at his shining black fur. He wanted to look good for his Clan, and a messy leader never looked good. "Good morning, Snowpaw!" he called out to the pretty young she-cat.

    Shadowclaw walked out of the clearing to hunt.


    Snakeheart sorted herbs in the med cat den. We need catmint, she thought to herself.

    "Hi"she mewed shyly and walked toward the apprentice den in front of it and put her calico tail on her paws she was all white but her tail was all calico

    Skyheart whipped her tail around, angry with herself. She had just been about to catch a pheasant, but she had moved a tiny bit and the bird had flown off.


    Victorystar purred and rubbed his head against hers affectionately. "So, how is your day?" he asked her.

    Stepping lightly onto the leaves of late leaf-fall, Victorystar spotted a squirrel. With a leap, jump, and snap, he had it laying limply in his jaws.

    Skyheart sat in camp. "Hey, Kobraspirit!" she called out when she saw him. Secretly, she had a crush on the new warrior.


    "Thanks," Victorystar said, puffing out his chest. He leaned in close to Snowpaw, looking deep into her eyes.

    "Snowpaw, I have something to tell you." Victorystar said. "Would you like it if I made you a warrior today?"


    Skyheart flounced her fur.

    "Hello Amberfoot." Shadowclaw said wearily. "Would you like to come hunting with me?"


    Snakeheart went out of her den to get some coltsfoot and catmint.

    "Sure!" Amberfoot said eagerly.


    Victorystar ran back to camp and called a meeting. "We will be announcing a new warrior today! Snowpaw!" He began the usual warrior ceremony. Finally, he said, "This apprentice, Snowpaw, will now become Snowfur!"
