Smallwish raised her head. "Why live in fear of what he could do, when it's much easier to live thinking that he is good." she murmured loudly, just loud enough for the crowd to hear.

Painteskies looked at Oakfang, and silently swooned."I agree."She said with her voice low, trying not to be noticed much.
Flamepaw admired the warriors train of thought, but he instead scoffed."Sure we can't punish him for being related to Longscar, but can't we punish him for attacking our leader?"
-
"Maybe he thought Swiftstar was some other rogue or something, how was he supposed to know it was a Clan leader?" Amethystpaw retorted, shooting daggers at Flamepaw.
-
"I'm guessing it's kind of hard to forget the cat that killed your father."Flame shot them back, but this time with an ice-cold glare as well.
-
Amethystpaw snorted. "So you think he was actually just waiting for someone to stroll by so he could attack them?" She narrowed her eyes questioningly.
-
"Well, being a rogue for so long, he might have seen him as a threat. Put yourself in his paws! Any cat is a threat to you when you're a rogue." Wastefield meowed in defense.
-
"He's technically never met Swiftstar before." Oakfang pointed out, pitching his voice so all the cats could hear him. "And even if he was aiming for our leader, why punish him? Based on his wounds Swiftstar handled himself like a leader should, and already gave him a beating. He commited no crime by attacking him. If a warrior from one of the other clans attacked Swiftstar, would we punish him?"
-
"Yes,of course. He going to just wait for some random cat to walk past so he can randomly attack it!"He angrily, and sarcastically shouted."No,you mouse-brain!He probably followed Swiftstar on his journey to the [Something],and waited for the right moment to strike!"He growled, lashing his tail out,and baring his small teeth.

Totes ignoring Oakfang.Good job Flamepaw. -
Amethystpaw settled her fur at their comments, and shot a satisfied smirk at Flamepaw, not even bothering to reply to what he had said. Ha! Do you have the deputy on your side, Flamepaw? she thought.
-
@Dino: I wish. He's just a warrior.
I want to explain something, though, the reason he's acting like this now is becuase I wanted to explain why he was even in the running and why Coalblaze was not. (Coalblaze would've reef used to use contractions and made it way too long.) -
|OOC| She meant deputy and runner-up deputy. Aha! XD
-
Lol.
My iPods gonna die soon, nightchaya'll. (Data how we say it in FL. Word.) -
Howlingpaw bared his teeth and sided with Flamepaw, "This cat could've killed countless other cats, and we want to let him into the Clan? What if we show him compassion, and then he uses that against us?"
Falconpaw snarled, "Talon shouldn't only be imprisoned, but executed! He's no right to live as he has. He knew who Swiftstar is, Longscar is his sire. Would his father not tell him, no, boast about killing (Insert cat he killed)?"
That was when Swiftpaw stepped forward. "But what if he doesn't? What if he didn't know Swiftstar? What if he does change? What if never killed unless he had to? What if he learns our compassion and changes with it?" Her voice was soft, not yelling like Oakfang had been, and it was a good theory. -
"Alright, everybody settle down!" Swiftstar roared over the clan, getting frustrated with decision making already. He sighed as storm clouds began to roll in, and the wind picked up. Great... The leader thought and cleared his throat, "Talon is an apprentice's age. That means that if he will stay here, he'll get proper clan training. Every young cat has the right to learn the correct way, and perhaps with training, he will regret his decisions." Swiftstar blinked his amber eyes.
Talon muttered, "Not likely." He then realized something! If I gain Swiftstar's trust, I can kill him. Maybe with this 'proper training', I can learn new fighting techniques as well. Talon then lifted his head, "But I'll stay."
-
Swiftpaw looked at Talon as he said this and felt her brother's cold anger and fear for their Clan and leader. The chocolate she-cat felt suddenly angry with her brothers. They were no older than her, not even warriors yet, and they were already acting like they were. Her silver-grey brother turned away, probably looking for Brightpaw, his golden-russet brother looked around for his girlfriend. Swiftpaw then looked back to Talon and wondered, He won't have any friends.
-
Brightpaw frowned at Talon. "I don't know about him..." She muttered, keeping his distance and flicking an ear.
Swiftstar nodded. "Then this meeting is dismissed. Talon will be watched over by a warrior at all times when outside of camp." He hopped down from the high rock.
Talon blinked, and looked at the clan. They didn't seem very enthusiastic about his welcome here, which he understood, but he wasn't sure how he would get by in this 'clan'.
-
Flamepaw growled and his claws tensed, clawing at the dirt."If he's going to be an apprentice,I'm not sleeping in the same den as him.I'd rather sleep out in the stars."He sneered,he had no idea why he was so...angsty of the sudden, but he kind of liked standing up for himself and sharing his own opinion.
Flamepaw stood up,gave one last ice-cold glare to his clan mates that disagreed with him,and to Talon before stalking off towards the apprentice's den."But if he goes on a killing spree because you guys gave him trust,I'm not going to help anyone that actually believed that a cold-blooded killer raised in hate, and pain could be good."He called over his shoulder.
---
...and I want to give him multiple personality disorder,but I can't D: -
Swiftpaw pushed through the crowd of cats and stopped in front of him. "Um, hi. I'm Swiftpaw. Don't mind my brothers. They're always like that." She said, motioning her tail to the grey tom who had gone over to Brightpaw, a dark look on his face.
Howlingpaw frowned at Brightpaw. "We shouldn't trust him. Don't ever go anywhere alone with him, okay? For me?" -
Brightpaw nodded in agreement, and tried to hide her light blush when he specifically said 'For him.' "Y-Yeah, of course!" She purred, probably louder then she should have been. "Besides, who'd want to go anywhere alone with him?"
Talon studied the apprentice, his claws sheathing. "I'm sure everybody's like that now that I'm here." He grumbled, padding away from the meeting area.
-
Wastefield smirked. Mission accomplished. He looked up at Swiftstar, and bounded towards the tom. "I'll happily be his mentor, Swiftstar. I can see no one else is volunteering, and I haven't received an apprentice in a while." He meowed, flicking his tail with a smile towards Talon
