  • OOC: It's not his real name, so think of Benjamin then ^^

IC: Benjamin held the knife upside down and slashed it upwards, killing yet another part of the plant. "I propose... a quick... movement" he panted. This was lasting too long to his liking and these plants didn't seem to tire. They were slowly moving backwards and if they ended up against the wall of the bunker, they were done for. He noticed a small free space between the green to Kaylee's left and pointed at it, making sure she'd see it. They had to be quick... before the vines could close it.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8][color=black]Kaylee, seeing here Benjamin had pointed, darted towards the space, lashing out with a shiny knife. She slashed a vine from the ivy, and kept backing away, not wanting to be cornered or surrounded. The ivy seemed to scream, but it didn't. It was like the air itself was making this strange noise, which wasn't there, but was mentally. "Go away...you stupid...ivy!" she gasped angrily, smacking a vine with the blade of her knife as it came too close.

  • Ben growled and stormed towards the space. "Run!" he hissed as his knife went through a vine that attacked Kaylee. He barely dodged another vine and cut a third one. This would be over soon if they couldn't find a way to escape. So he charged past Kaylee and dove forward through the space. In front of him was a clear area now. "Come on!" he yelled, hoping Kaylee would get through as well.

  • OOC: I know, but is running towards a space the same as through it...? Doesn't matter ^^

IC: After a while, Benjamin stopped, panting. "Are you alright?" he asked, barely managing to stand from exhaustion. He put his knife in his pocket so he didn't have to hold it anymore before turning towards the girl with worried eyes.

  • OOC: You were following Nick to Winter and Alicia, he pointed out the houses where they were searching and they're now waiting for the two teens to appear so they can meet you.

Nicholas looked around and shrugged. He walked towards one of the doors, made sure he kept the little Amon in balance and knocked on the door with his stick in a trial to get the attention of both Winter and Alicia. He knocked as hard as he could, hoping they could hear him even when they were in another house.

  • Thanks.

Bailey watched Nicholas, he appeared to be attracting attention to himself, maybe it was to call his friends to him, maybe it wasn't. He didn't protest, he wanted to keep these people from thinking he was going to be an issue. He took off his helmet, the air seemed to be safe to breath, at least Nicholas thought it was.

  • "Hmm?" Alicia said as she emerged with a couple of cans and a water bottle. She looked at Bailey.
"Who the F are you?" she asked, narrowing her eyes. There she goes with that "hatred toward every human except her allies" face.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8][color=black]Winter came around a corner. She leaned against a tree and glanced at him. "For once we agree on something. Who the hell are you?" Hostility was in her voice, but not too much. Not as much as it was for Alicia.

    {Guess not.}
Kaylee kept gripping onto the knife, just in case. Her knuckles had turned white and so she eased her grip. Oh how much better that felt. Her whole body was aching from the effort of fighting off alive ivy. "Why?" she muttered. "Why me? Why did I stay alive? Why couldn't I have died with everyone else?"

  • "What do you think I feel? I don't even know who my family is, who my friends were, where I lived,..." Benjamin replied with a small glare. "Be happy to be alive... Maybe you know your family and friends are dead... But I don't, which makes it even harder. Who knows, maybe a body from over there was my father without me knowing", he added before standing straight. His right hand was red from irritation from holding the knife so long and tight, but he didn't seem to be bothered by it. His blonde hair hung in front of his face, wet from the sweat. "Come on... Maybe we find some food or drinks in the next city..." he muttered softly.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8][color=black]Kaylee didn't answer, just nodded to his proposal of food and water. "I found some bottles of water and a bit of food," she said. "Maybe we should find a place to set up and eat what I found in my house there."

  • Benjamin nodded. "Maybe we find a place to hide and eat when we reach the next city. I think most hauses and such are pretty much safe, as long as we manage to stay quiet and out of sight", he said before walking off. He stretched his right fingers before clenching them as a fist again, trying to relax them a bit.

Nicholas turned towards Bailey and sidestepped so he could see the two girls properly. He didn't say a word, he just stood there, Amon on his shoulders. "I don't have to introduce him..."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8][color=black]Kaylee agreed with a simple, "'Kay." She sighed, not following Benjamin, and leaned back against a tree, twirling a lock around her finger in effort to try and distract her thoughts from the future and what was to become of them. What life was this? It's a life. She thought to herself. She should be grateful that she had survived...and not forgotten it all.

  • Benjamin turned around and saw her standing against a tree. Retracing his steps, he stopped next to her. "Are... Are you alright?" he asked a bit worried. "You seem to be... on another planet", he added as he tilted his head so it would appear in the middle of her sight. His brain was making extra hours as he tried to figure out what was wrong with her... and with the world.

  • "Only after telling the truth" the boy wanted to reply but he didn't. He couldn't afford a human enemy at this moment. He never could, actually. "Okay... Let's go", he said as he started to walk again. This time, he looked backwards and waited for the girl to catch up. He wondered if she'd follow him this time...

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8][color=black]Kaylee quickly hurried after him, eager to prove that she was fine and oblivious to his thoughts. She wondered what would happen when they encountered their next "unfriendly" creature.

  • Benjamin sighed while walking. He went through his hair with a swift movement as he tried to keep his eyes wide open. They were stinging from exhaustion as he hadn't slept peacefully because of the attacking ivy. "There's the next town..." he muttered as the outlines of a city came into view. Maybe they'd meet some other survivors.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8][color=black]Holly sighed and scraped her shoe in the earth. "Good," she mumbled. "I'm exhausted. I just hope we don't meet up with anymore of those strange plants, or any of the mutated animals ready to feast on our flesh." Her heart throbbed when she said this, as she was thinking about her family and how they would have dealt with this. Probably do the same as Benjamin...
