    "The bleeding should stop..." Icekit trailed off. Ears pressed against her head in shame, she continued, "I don't know. I'm useless."

    "You're not useless! " Skykit hissed. She didn't like it when her sister said she was useless when she wasn't. "You're the only person who can help Bearpaw!"

    OOC: Person?


    IC: "Sure," Icekit replied unenthusiastically. "Not all that much, though." Staring outside as lightning crackled and thunder roared, rain pounding against the ground, the kit sighed.

    "Actually, I don't really know that much. At all. I've just overheard stuff. And I forgot a lot of it." Icekit turned warm under her fur in embarrassment.

    "I've done as much as I can!" Icekit screamed back, eyes wet with tears.

    "I'll stay with Bearpaw," Mumbled Icekit, already sorry at her outburst.

    Stormcloud ran through the storm to the kits and apprentice. "What's happening? You need to get inside, it's dangerous out here!"

    "I'll stay with Bearpaw! You two get help, then dry off before you give yourself greencough!" replied Stormcloud.

    "We're not even outside!" Icepaw mewed irritably. "We're in the medicine den."

    Adding her voice to her sister's, Icekit called loudly, "Bearpaw's hurt! Baerpaw's hurt!" Over and over, repeating her cry, hoping that the medicine cats would hear the call from where ever they were in the storm.

    A loner, Red, heard the desperate call. Confused, she padded until she found the two kits.
