Male || Medicine Cat Apprentice || Telepathy

With his paws brushing softly against the grass Luckypaw made his way towards the training hollow, tail down in an almost dejected way. He really didn't wanna do this. Training... But Stacysong insisted so what could he do? Ignore her? No... That wouldn't be good... I mean she was pretty much his mother! And disobeying a queen who tells her kit to do something.. Bad.

Coming to a stop he sighed and sat himself down, being wary of his almost healed leg. He had broken it a few months before and lately it had been acting up on him..

ooc; :3 his jaw will get broken in this training session 8D

  • ooc; Ouch.

Lan was pretty delighted to have a new apprentice. It had been such a long time, and something about gaining the opportunity to teach felt so alluring. Paw after paw, she followed the apprentice to the training hollow. It didn't take long to figure he didn't quite have the same attitude she did through his body language and her ears drooped. Great. Just great.

Pausing a fox-length away from him, she looked around before figuring it was time to begin. "Today, we're going to try hunting." She told him. It was often that mentors taught their apprentices this first instead of battling.

His ears perked at sight of Lanijay and quickly any sign of his dislike for the training dissapeared from his face. "Good morning Lani." Luckypaw meowed softly, green eyes warm as he greeted her. Hunting? Seemed like an alright plan... "Alright. Where do we begin?"

  • ooc; Sorry for the late reply. Got busy.

"Goodmorning, Luckypaw." Lanijay replied, expression brightening slightly when she saw his dilike disappear. Maybe this wasn't going to be a sucky day after all. "First, I want you to open your maw slightly and breathe in through your nose. Tell me what you scent." She could scent a rabbit nearby, but wanted to see if he could too before telling.

Opening his mouth, he breathed in slowly. He could smell a fresh wind blowing in that seemed to promise rain, and that some chervil was growing nearby. Perhaps he could grab some later... they were kinda low...

    Focus. Now.

Shaking his head he tried again, and detected what he though may have been squirrel. "Um.. Squirrel... And chervil." he murmured.

  • "Try harder." Lanijay urged with a smile. Impressive scenting skills for a first try, but she wanted to know if he could surpass that.

Swiveling his ears and taking an even deeper breath he poised and stood still. "I can hear a bird... Pecking for snails in the reed bed... And i can taste... I can taste... rain... Is it gonna rain soon Lanijay?" Luckypaw meowed, slightly confused.
