  • her ears flattened with embarrassment that a stallion she just met yesterday would stick up for her like this but then she looked at the humans, then to her jockey in the crowd. "Come on Drake, lets get out of here." she nickered lowly, rearing into a pivot and running the opposite direction, the bale of hay in her teeth swinging and hitting against her chest as she ran.

  • "No, no, not a bit, thank you for sticking up for me like that." she stated, her ears back as she stepped back. "Just, I saw my jockey's face...she looked heartbroken..." she nickered quietly, her brown eyes sad. "I'm just second guessing myself...maybe I should go back..." she muttered

  • "No, I don't think i'm leaving...that's just my sadness talking." she stated shaking her head, her normal self reflecting in her eyes once more "So shall we split the hay?" she nickered, her ears perked again

  • "well im used to the cold weather you can take it your going to need it anyway being used to the cold from being used to the warm stable life is not an easy task trust me." Drake said "don't worry about me I'll be fine."

  • "No no no, I'll take half, I wont be a total tail-eater and take the whole thing." she nickered biting off the wires and splitting the bale in half.

  • "They're in different stables...I never got to see them but the old female always tells me about my mom...no one ever talks about my dad though." she stated laying down on the hay she laid out. "What about you?" she asked, her ears flicking curiously.

  • "my dad was a world class racing horse my mother was a jumper like yourself. i never really got to see my dad he was always traveling and my mother died when i was a little i stayed at the stables until i was strong enough to jump the fence any i promised my self never to go back"

  • "Wait a second...please tell me your not the foal of that stuck up race horse that came through the stables and had a total hissy fit because it was too dirty and the food wasn't his brand..." she nickered, her brown eyes clenched slightly

  • "That explains it." she neighed, her ears back in amusment, "You think its going to rain again?" she nickered, looking outside

  • "tomorrow the herd will come i forgot to tell you that every year a wild herd comes to this forest to cross the river they usually stay a couple of days before heading off. i should also tell you not to mess with them they can be very... harsh on stable borns like you and me"

  • "I think I'll be fine." she whispered, her voice slurring slightly with tiredness, then drifted off to sleep, her tail twitching one last time before she fell completely asleep "Night Drake." she nickered softly.
