Citrinepaw gulped, unsure, and began to lead the way vaguely to the left.

DarkenedSpirit followed before going low knowing it was a bit close. She kept her body low though not to low and her ears perked just in case.
-
Citrinepaw crouched into 'hunting mode' and whispered, this will be fine. Unfortunately, the vole heard the vibrations and sprinted off.
-
DarkenedSpirit stood up looking at CitrinePaw. "Remember now, you must not utter a sound. A rabbit hears well, a mouse can smell, and a vole can feel."
-
Citrinepaw nodded, taking in the advice. She practiced being quiet, so quiet that she could hear her heart beat. She put the weight on the front of her paw when she moved, so as to be quiet. Hey, I'm getting the hang of this.
-
DarkenedSpirit smiled proudly before showing her a perfect hunting crouch. "Balance your weight and keep as low as possible. Those are the other two key things other then silence."
-
Citrinepaw dropped easily so that her stomach was skimming the ground, but try as she might, she couldn't balance her weight. It's just so much easier to have it skewed! she huffed in annoyance.
-
DarkenedSpirit watched before edited it slightly. "It takes practice. Most of one talent though they also have an area of improvement. It is the way of life."
-
Citrinepaw nodded and focused on shifting most of her weight to the right. Because she naturally leaned to the left, she found that she was almost equally spread by doig this...even though she felt like she was leaning to the left. "This ok?" she asked softly.
-
DarkenedSpirit nodded looking at her and fixing her a bit. "It is better. It all comes in practice, trust me on it. You can even ask my daughter or PoisonArrows."
-
Citrinepaw nodded serenely. "How are they?" she asked. "Riverflow and Poisonarrows, I mean."
-
DarkenedSpirit sighed. "PoisonArrows is doing her best to work out a problem and RiverFlow is helping her out with it. Otherwise they seem fine."
-
"Will Poisonarrows be ok?" she whispered, her words floating away on the breeze, a whisper, a wish.
-
DarkenedSpirit shrugged though it was sorrowful. "I don't know really. She is still in shock and still trying to move on pretending she is fine though we all know she isn't."
-
"I just hope other cats can help." her yellow eyes were distant, locked in a memory. "I remember once, we were talking about true love. Some examples were our parents, Riverflow and Astropaw and finally Neptunesea and Poisonarrows. It's just odd to think that what we always thought was true love, isn't. But maybe he still loves her."
-
DarkenedSpirit nodded in agreement. "I believe he may. I just hope PoisonArrows can get some rest from all the sudden twists and turns in her life. Her life story is actually one that I can never forget. Would you like to hear it after training is over?"
-
"Definitely." Citrinepaw nodded, glad to have something to look forward to. "So what to want to teach me next?"
-
DarkenedSpirit nodded. "Yes, basic fighting skills. You will need this for I have a feeling a war may soon come. After that you can take the rest of the day off."
