    Berrystar's voice rung out in the clearing."Cats of DivisionClan, come to gather as we welcome our new apprentice!" Cats sprung out of every den, every bush, every tree, staring at the silver-tabby-and-white kit.



    "Come on Mother! I want to see our denmate become an apprentice!" Spectralkit moaned to Sirensong.



    "I wonder what path she'll choose!" Spectralkit's sister (Echokit) thought.

Are you ready to leave your life as a kit and choose a path?"



    Spectralkit sat next to her sister. "I wish I could become an apprentice now. Don't you?" she mewed quietly, so she didn't desterb her friends' ceremony. Echokit didn't reply, so she turned to her mother, Sirensong. "Why dosen't Echokit reply to us when we talk to her?" She asked.


    "You'll soon find out." Sirensong whispered to her oldest kit.
