The Refuge [Sign-Up Thread]

Welcome to the Refuge, a place for the troubled. Here, we are safe. Safe from everyday life. Safe from the police. Safe from everything that could hurt us. Many stay here, and though the Refuge is organized, there are no government officials or administrators, it is just run by the ones staying there, and it is known my very few, and is never to be talked about outside of the Refuge. The places to stay are in cabins that are fairly close to each other, though are still far away at the same time. Perhaps half a mile away. The only thing in the area are the cabins, and then it is just the mountains and forest, where ones who want to meet, meet, besides one more thing. There is an area in the middle of the cabins, because the arrangement is in a circular pattern, and so there is a fire pit with a few chairs and logs.
Though the Refuge is run by the people who stay there, ones that are there, are usually sentences by the law there, or choose to go there. A main reason to stay at the Refuge is because of the name itself. It is a place for Refugees in this world. Ones who have had troubled lives and aren't able to live there normal life, or are recluses in society.

Personality: Brady used to be afraid of the world when his leg was amputated, but soon had found an idol, and looked up to them, especially since they lived near him. His idol, though, was a bit of a daredevil, and Brady took after him slightly. He is brave, and pretty fearless of most things, though has some weakness if someone knows how to get inside him like poking fun at him about his missing leg. That's pretty much the only time he gets submissive. He is pretty nice, though is usually need as someone who is dark and cold because he is at the Refuge. He also has a strong taste for adventure and likes to think of himself as a survivalist.Though, that doesn't describe him at all. He actually likes life overall, besides the part about his missing leg. Also, since he had found out that he was coming to the Refuge, he had taken some time in mechanics, and has become pretty skilled at it so he is a bit of an inventor so anytime something goes wrong with one of prosthetics, he usually has some tools to fix it.
Looks: He has light tannish skin with three freckles on each of his cheek, though they are barely noticeable because they are very light. He also has short dirty-blonde hair, though it is more of a light brownish color. It is shorter near the bottom, and then it is a bit thicker near the top with it being spiked. His height is 6'5", so he is fairly tall, and with most people he has met, he towers over them which makes him feel odd because of his leg. His leg is amputated just below the knee, leaving a small stub under his leg.
He wears a gray shirt that has short sleeves, and also wears a black jacket with a hoodie and zipper, with two pockets on each side of it. When he is pretty much freezing, he wears an extra coat that is also black with white fur lining the hoodie and bottom of it. It also has a zipper with two large pockets on each side of it. He also has a gray beanie which he wears a lot, with only a small part of the top of his hair showing when it is worn. He also wears tan, shorts that are cargo pants with two pockets on each side of it, then there are two pockets on the back. When it is cold out, he wears long, tan cargo pants with two pockets on each side, two pockets on the back, and two pockets at the knees.
He then has a prosthetic from just below his knee which is a black color with some silver on it for everyday things, but then carries a running one in his black backpack for when he is well... running, but it takes him around a minute or so to change them which might slow him down a bit. The backpack he wears is pretty much a normal looking one, and carries most things for him like an extra silicone sock for his stubbed leg, and has a first-aid kit in it, too, which carries many bandages and ointments. It also carries a few water bottles, and things like that. He also wears black shoes, yes, on both feet because there is a fake foot attached to his prosthetic that isn't the running one.
History: When his leg was amputated, for reasons he doesn't like to tell unless you try to get it out of him, he was very afraid, and was pretty much a recluse. Then, he had meet someone who reminded him of him before his leg was amputated, and then looked up to him as an idol. They also lived near him. Though, his idol was a bit of a daredevil, so Brady had followed how he acted suit. One day, he was on his way to see his idol, because they started to hang out a lot, and was driving, surprisingly. Though, he had speeded up a bit, and when he reached a hill, he couldn't stop and had ended up hitting a few people, and then almost crashed into another car, but was able to stop. He was soon after arrested, and was sent to Juvenile Jail, also known as Juvi. He was then sent to court, and was sentenced to either go to a Detention Facility, or go to the Refuge. His parents thought that it would be better for him to get more outdoors time, and meet to people so they had made the decision for him. Sending him off to the Refuge.

Pet(s): He has a Husky/Malamute which is his mostly because he is there to keep him safe. The dog's name is Dash and he is a bit of a 'work dog' just like seeing-eye dogs, but is instead there for his leg.

Personality: Alyssa is very quiet and reserved, and because of her troubled past, she seems a bit mute at times. She doesn't like to be mean to people and is pretty much a tree-hugger/animal-lover. She usually seems to be in a far off place, but is actually aware of everything around her almost as if it is a sixth sense, though she just has very strong ears. She is very submissive also, and is easy to take control of.

She usually wears a white tank top with a short-sleeved jacket over it. When she is cold, she wears a blue jacket over it and that has a hoodie on it. The jacket also has two pockets on the side, and is a pull over, rather than an actual jacket.She also wears blue jeans with two pockets on the sides, and two pockets on the back of it. He shoes are actually black boots without heels on it so it flat with it being jagged on the bottom for friction. She also wears a beanie that is blue, and that is when she is walking in the mountains.
History (Optional): Alyssa was always an outsider in the world and never liked to be around others that much. She usually stayed inside a lot, or went to the park by herself to look at the nature and such. Months before she was sent to the Refuge, she had given a 'fake friend' her locker number and code. The 'friend' the had placed a gun in her locker as a joke. When Alyssa opened her locker, it fell to the ground, and fired. Luckily, though, no one had gotten injured, but she was then expelled and put on trial. Since she had never done anything bad in the past and was known to be very kind, they didn't send her to jail, but the judge said that her parents should send her to the Refuge, and they had agreed to, so now she is there.

Pet(s): She has a red-tailed hawk called Soarin. She had rescued him when he was just a hatchling, and that was when she had first turned into an 'animal-lover'.

Alaric is a 'strange' boy. He could easily be designated as cold-hearted for reasons you will most likely see in roleplay. Though I'll tell you a few; He hates being asked about himself and will leave the room(or area, depending)if the topic of him comes up. Also if he is told to 'break the news' to someone he will not alter the story or how he words it, example; telling a child they were going to die. Brandon has a mix of personalities. Towards girls, he is extremely flirty, except if they are already taken. But, if a taken women comes up to him and starts to flirt, he wouldn't be able to resist the urge to flirt back, and eventually get her in bed, which he is quite good at, by the way. But if he does have a girlfriend, he would never think of cheating on her, or even being abusive.

Sarah's comes off as a big slut, which is why most men are so glued to her. She can seduce any man, and make good money off of it, too. But she loves the attention she gets from the men. She's almost addicted to it. She doesn't mind selling her body to make money; it doesn't faze her at all. And with her beauty and great seducing techniques, she is very wanted by the men.
But when she has a boyfriend, she stays loyal to him. She does as he says, and always wants to please him, doing anything he wants. But don't go thinking you can take advantage of her.
