"Pish posh! I don't care about whatever punishment they give me! It was punishment enough when I found out I had a brother!" Ai whispered back.

"A brother? What, did your parents kept the information from you?" He said that iin a hushed whisper as he flattened himself against a wall, traversing quietly through the city, he was becoming somewhat a little bit slower, from blood loss from the wound in his shoulder. He quickly went across a few quiet streets as far enough to the outskirts of the city towards the old barn. When he fianlly reached the barn, he staggered slightly then dropped to one knee, his breathing was somewhat labored as more blood seemed to ooze from the wound. He closed his eyes as he stood up shakily, pulling himself forward and making sure he didn't drop Ai. He opened the barn and went into the barn and put her down. He leaned against the barn wall, his eyes closed as he forcused on keeping conscienceness.
-
"No, I just remember being disappointed when I came home from the hospital," Ai said. She took off her backpack, and opened it up. She pulled out a roll of bandages,"Hold still," she said. She started to treat his wounds.
-
Aatu remained still then he whispered quietly, "At least.. your family is still alive. Be thankful for that." He winced slightly as she began to treat the bullet wound, he growled, "That hurts!"
-
"Sorry!" Ai said, healing as quick and gentle as she can,"This pressure is just making me really nervous!"
-
Aatu grabbed her hand before she could apply anymore to the wound, "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, it isn't that bad."
-
Ai's face turned red,"S-s-sorry,"
-
He stared at her for a few more moments then looked away, letting go of her hand as he said quietly, "You should go ahead and rest; I'll keep a lookout." He walked over to the barn door and sat down near it, looking outside.
-
Ai nodded her head,"O-o-okay,"
-
Aatu's gaze fliickered over to her, amusement lit his eyes as a slightly smile crossed his face, "Why so nervous Ai, it isn't like you." He held back the temptation to laugh, though it was clear he was trying to hold it back.
-
"Shut up," Ai huffed, turning her head away from Aatu.
-
Aatu frowned then shifted into his regular form. He walked over to her and nudged her arm with his muzzle. His blue eyes focused upon her face, ears perked slightly. Apparently, he was apologizing for that. He had to reluctantly admit without her help he would've been dead on the streets.
-
"Aww.... I can't stay mad at you," Ai said, uncrossing her arms. She petted his head,"But next time, don't make fun of me," she pouted.
-
He wagged his tail slightly, then licked her hand. He then turned away and went back to his former position near the entrance, laying down on hiis side but his gaze scanned the area with alertness.
-
"You're even more ad-" Ai slapped her hands over her mouth before she finished.
-
His head turned towards her, curiousity in his gaze. He tilted his head slightly.
-
Ai turned a red color. That was super close! I was just about to admit- ee! He's looking at me! He heard! Oh this is so embarrassing!
-
After staring at her for a few more long moments, he turned his head and put his head on his paws. He flicked an ear and thought, 'Humans are so odd...' He stared out at the city, his gaze flickered to the quarter moon that was out. Aatu's gaze flicked away as he continued to be alert.
-
Ai let out a sigh of relief, and rested against the wall.
-
He sat up, curling his tail around his paws. His gaze scanned the surrounding area. He listened to the distant sounds of the cars in the city, he thought to himself, 'This place... it's... so much different than the places outside of it..'
