Attitude's ears folded to his head. Tori's words had pierced them and they throbbed with what seemed to be pure anguish. Whenever the attractive she-cat had shown him cruelty, Attitude had always shoved it away, pretending the pain wasn't there. But this wouldn't be forgiven. He had to get away; he had to clear his pounding head. Attitude caught something dotting the horizon, something that stood against the bright sunset. Plummeting into the waves, he dove toward the island, eyes fixed on it. He had swam before, but never far enough to reach the island. If he had fingers, he would have crossed them. "Come on Attitude. That she-cat isn't worth a thing." He lied under his breath, paddling through the speck of an island.

hissed the soft voice of Laineykit. The royal pranced towards the stranger, blue eyes wide with curiosity. "You're staring out at the sea like a maniac ... why?" she asked, staring at Attitude expectantly.

  • Upon reaching the shore of the island, Attitude seemed to be greeted, if you could call it such, with the voice of a kit. Whipping around to face the kit, Attitude lowered his ears just slighty in discomfort. "Why is that any of your buisiness?" Seeming to hesitate for a bit, he finally added, "And who are you anyway?"

"She's a royal member of Tidalclan," came a strong voice from behind Laineykit- Tumbleweed, the blackened Savannah spy, who had been the kit's escort out that day. ((Hope you don't mind, Rebs)) His long and tall figure passed over both of the two, casting his shadow along the sandy beach. "And you are on our land, which is a good enough reason to me to be suspicious of strangers. Go away or tell us why you're here."

  • A humble sigh escaped the black and white tom's muzzle. Of course. Clan cats. I can't find a little alone time. Attitude mentally rolled his eyes as he began, speaking in a polite manner, "I'm not a threat. I just came here to get some fresh air. If I have to leave, I understand." He gave a curt dip of the head. He wasn't annoyed by the clan cats, it was more so that he wasn't alone on the island. His muscles rippled under his pelt as he shifted his position. Then an idea came to him. If I join these cats, and their 'Tidalclan', it would help me forget about Tori. I've heard about the clans, but I've never been in one. Maybe I should try it out. "However," He added after a moment of hesitation. "This ... Tidalclan seems like a decent clan. I would consider joining, that is, if you accept."

Tumbleweed frowned and looked the loner up and down- he could possibly even have been a kittypet at one time. Of course, the spy had no problem with loners or their kind, but he had learned to be wary and trust no one. "You've not even heard anything about us," he replied, eyes narrowing as he flicked his tail to and fro- his body never left the alert, standing position. He wasn't above chasing a cat away back over the tidepools at high tide.
"There is nothing more that had persuaded you to join other than a view of the ocean. And after all, it is not my place to accept cats into the clan."
