    Kira took his hand greatfully, giving him a slight smile before turning back to face the oncomeing vampires. The head of them, Rick, stopped a few yards from them and called out "So I hear the rumors are true" The other council members appeared behind him, all with a raised brow and brooding looks at the two of them.

    Kira squeezed his hand gently to calm him. Rick scowled at him and was about to snap back when Rachel, another councilman stepped forward. "This was not the original reason for our visit, though it is of interest to us. We had come here to confirm to you that your father is dead and that you are in line for the throne, along with Marcus and a few others" Rachel said calmly. Rick cut in "And as we have discovered, you have fallen for a bloody wolf!"
    "Yes, I knew that that was one reason why you would come, and yes, I have fallen for him." Kira said, her chin raised in defiance.

    "Bloody wolf." Jeremy grumbled. He wanted to slam their heads into the ground. "I think that's obvious. What said it? The holding hands. The kiss." Jeremy said as he pecked his check. He wasn't going down with a fight.

    Rick leapt forward at them, his teeth bared, but was slammed to the ground by Rachel. "We will not fight!" she hissed at him. Rick glared at her "And why not?! This love is forbidden!" he argued. "Because this is the time where laws are not obeyed, especially when there is no one on the throne" Rachel said.
    "Wait, what do you mean?" Kira asked, a bit confused.
    "When there is no one in power and there must be a new ruler chosen, the laws will have no effect until the new ruler is chosen and the fate of you two is decided" Rick explained

    "That may be true, but I still have to win a majority of the votes by the elder families" Kira said. Marcus came out from behind the council and smirked as she flinched, stepping closer to Jeremy. "And as we all know, there are only three of us vampires who will be running. Me, you, and Andy" Marcus sneered

    Jeremy saw he flinch. He stared at Marcus. "Did you hurt her?" He grumbled, walking over to Marcus. "You hurt her!"

    Marcus hissed at him "Yes, I'm the one that hurt her"
    "Jeremy, don't" Kira said in a whisper.
    Rachel watched the two with a smirk "yes Marcus, don't taunt him. Or haven't you learned not to mess with a wolf's love"

    Marcus tumbled back a few feet from the punch. He snapped back up, his teeth bared at him and leapt at him. Kira jumped in the way and Marcus landed on her. He smirked and held her up by the throut "You've grown weak... when was the last time you fed?" he sneered.
    Kir hissed at him adn tried to kick him away.
