    "No I'm a medicine cat i use herbs and remedies to cure the warriors i need an apprentice to help", spottedflight told the kits in a way that suggested a volunteer.

    "Not everyone wants to be a medicine cat", she explained to the kit.

    "Lets just put it this way if everyone became a medincine cat then we wouldn't have any patients", spottedflight explained while implying the word we. "But i could do with a willing apprentice"

    "Dont worry you soon will be until then ill make sure no one else takes the place", spottedflight padded off in a calm nice way.

    Cloudkit bounded over to her mother and woke her up "Skywing! I might be the Medicine cat apprentice when i'm older!"


    Skywing woke up "That's great Cloudkit"


    Snakekit looked at Cloudkit "Sounds boring"

    Moonstar led the way through the woods then found a large bush and stopped. "We'll hunt here," she announced and padded aroud to the other side of the bush. She closed her eyes and breathed in, picking up the scent of a mouse hidden under a branch. She crouched down and slowly crept forward, making sure she made no noise. She continued forward, then suddenly heard a loud crackle as an old, dried up leafe crumbled to bits under her paw. The mouse's head snapped up and it shot out from the bush. Moonstar thought quickly and she pounced at the rodent and snapped at it. Her teeth cought in its pelt and tore back flesh. It instanly dies, but it was a very sloppy kill. "great..." the leader muttered and carefully picked up the dead mouse and padded back to where she let the others.


    Barkpelt nodded at Moonstar as she announced the hunting area and dashed over to a nearby tree. He waited for a few moments and saw a reddish brown animal streak by and up a tree. He watched it jump from tree to tree a little bit longer and crouched down, ready to run. He quickly shot over to the tree it had just jumped from and dug his claws in to the trunk. He pushed himself up the tree and got out to a branch close to the squirrel's new tree. While the squirrel wasn't paying attention, he leaped out onto the next branch. He ran at the squirrel as it quickly turned around. It turned back to flee, but it was too late. Barkpelt had cought up, and delivered a heavy blow to the creature's spine. I fell from the branch and hit the ground with no chance of survival. The tom made his way back down the tree and picked up his squirrel. He made it back in time to ser his sister covering up her bloody mess of a mouse with leaves so, hopefully, no other animals would get to it.

    Ashenfrost looked around, unsheathing his long talon claws, curling his tail over his back. Suddenly, he heard something tearing through the leaves and saw a small white rabbit, its plump sides heaving as it panted. He crouched down, his belly fur barely brushing the leaves. The rabbit stopped under a root, frantically searching for something. Ashenfrost wriggled his haunches then sprang, hooking his claws into its pelt. He bit the nape of its neck and whipped his head to the side, snapping its small bones. He lifted his kill, and padded back to the bush, hiding his prey inside while kicking leaves over it.

    Autumnleaf saw her brother take off in hot pursute of a rabbit. She rolled her eyes and turned away, closing her eyes and breathing out softly. She pricked her ears, letting the scents of the forest wash over her and flood her senses. Suddenly, a warm scent brushed past her nose, and she recognized it as vole. Water vole. She dove into the safety of some bushes and crept along, coming up to a small stream. She saw the brown creature nibbling at the root of a reed. She bunched her muscles, then leaped, landing square on the creatures. She bit down on its spine, causing it to die. She lifted her catch and padded back, leaving the prey beside her brothers.

    Moonstar dashed off into the woods, wanting to find at least one more, embarased about her small mouse. She quickly picked up the trail of a squirrel. She spotted it on a rock, busy with an acorn while it was distracted she crept up behind it. It's nose twitched and it picked up a strange smell. It jammed the acorn in it's jaws and bolted off. Moonfall pelted after it, but it ran into another clan's territory. She sighed and walked back to the others.


    Barkpelt sat down and waited for Moonstar to return. When the grey she-cat got back he asked "Are we gonna head back to camp?" She nodded and he picked up his squirrel.


    Moonstar turned to the other cats. "Let's go." she meowed and grabbed her mouse.

    Moonstar led the patrol back to the camp ad dropped her kill on the freshkill pile. She headed off to the nursery to see if Skywing was doing okay and if she needed anything. She poked her head into the nursery. "Hello." she meowed.


    Barkpelt followed his sister into camp and dropped his squirrel on the pile. He padded over to the camp entrance and leaped up onto a tall rock nearby to keep watch. He watched Autumnleaf for a few moments, but quickly looked away not wanting her to think he was staring.

    Spottedflight counted her herbs. "Need more tansy and catnip", she muttered to herself.
