  • Jacob held onto the sail of his boat, licking his dry lips as the shore came closer. He'd done it. He'd made it back to the mainland, no paddles, no more supplies, and waning hope, and yet, here he was. It had been a long voyage, on a very small boat, but he was on his way now, to find more people. Jacob hadn't seen another person in to long, he wasn't even solitary by nature- at least, he hadn't before this had all happened. 'This' was basically the end of the world. He wasn't even sure what had happened, or where he had landed, just that beyond the beach, there seemed to be a wonderful oasis, lush greenery, water, even birds- he could hear them. So, if they had survived the end of all known humanity, then surely another human survived. In fact, he knew this was fact, due to the radio station he caught on the little portable radio. Mostly it played music, but on occasion it'd have an announcer, someone talking, giving weather updates, the number to call him at in the off chance they reached a working phone, and a few other things.

He jumped off a few feet from shore, suddenly glad he left his pack on the boat, due to the fact that he had the amazing luck to jump strait into a deep spot. His head went under the surface with a startled gurgle, but he bounced back up coughing a few moments later. He knew how to swim, which was good, otherwise he may of drowned. Instead, he began to tow his boat to shore, glad to have his bare toes reach sand fast. The waterlogged 15 year old hauled himself out onto the sand and sprawled on his back, grinning crazily and even laughing slightly. His dog- yes, he had a dog, which had been asleep in the bottom of the boat, a Black Lab-mix. A mix with what, he didn't know, but it was basically a black lab, with a slightly stockier build than most and a shorter snout. He jumped out of the boat and went to sit on his owners chest, as if to tell him that he was hungry.

[[Hello, and welcome to the end of the world! yes, the world has ended, did so a few years back. some parts of it is pure wasteland, some parts beautiful oasis. Humans have mostly been wiped out and scattered, but there's one or two cities here and there, and the radio towers scattered around. This is a literate RP and I'd like you to be Semi-advanced. I realize those standers vary, so here's what I want. a good three or four sentences, with some dialog and proper punctuation. Thanks, and have fun! (no form needed, hop right in)]]

  • Snow crouched and watched the boy from up in a tree, her eyebrows twitched upward and she had to hide a laugh when the boy fell into the water. She slipped down from the tree, having to stop for a moment to untangle some strands of black hair from the branches. She stood where the shore met the forest, she stared for a moment "Hey" she called, her voice was scrachy from the lack of use.

  • Maze rinsed her dirty blond hair, squeezing out every drop of water. Ahhhhh....She hadn't taken a bath in weeks, months.... Tucking the stray wisps back into her hat, she got up and contiued walking.Maze had been searching for human life ever since her life crumbled. No such luck. She hoped that she would never give up.

  • Jacob scrambled up like a startled rabbit, his grey-blue eyes wide with surprise. Out of old habit, he attempted to make himself look presentable, scuffing the sand out of his light brown hair and straitening his dark green shirt, which was also sandy, no helping that. And there wasn't entirely anything he could do about his left pant leg, which was mostly missing from just below the knee. It took him a moment to figure out what to say, so rather than put any real thought into the words, he just said the first things that came into his head. "My dogs name is Bast. its short for Sebastian." he said and then stood perfectly strait like a board for a moment "I-I mean...Hi?" he said sheepishly, blushing at the realization that this complete stranger had said hi, and he had proceeded to introduce his dog.

  • Snow laughed "I have a dog too, shes back at..." she paused for a moment, not sure what to call the small space that she sleeps in "my house" she finished after a moment "You must have come far" she mused, looking over his boat and apperance. "You alone?"

  • Jacob laughed slightly "Yeah. Alone. Just me and Bast now." he seemed to wince at this thought. He had been with someone, for a while, but they were gone now. Which was why he had left the island in the first place, there hadn't been anything left for him there, so he left. "Hang on a sec..." he wobbled slightly as he walked back to his dingy to get his backpack and a leash for Bast, not that it was needed, just another old habit. The reason he wobbled slightly when he walked was for a few reasons, general exhaustion for one thing due to lack of sleep, the fact that he'd spent a long time on a surface that was in constant motion- the boat- only to be on a solid surface now. Then there was always the reason that he hadn't had anything to eat or drink in a very long time. None the less, Jacob swung his pack onto his shoulder, clipped one end of the leash to one of the straps and the other end to Bast, who was obediently standing around, sniffing his new surroundings.

  • Ivan, who had been walking through the trees, stopped to see maze. His dog growled."Kamen!" he said quietly, and the grey wolf stopped."um...privet!" he said, before remembering he wasn't in Russia anymore. I mean hello!" he Russian blood quite obvious with his accent.

  • Maze jumped at the dogs bark, her brown eyes scanning the boy and his dog for any signs of danger. Finally, another person! The girl carefully approached the boy, as if he had a gun. How had he survived? She thought.
Slowly, straing her head she said, with a soft voice " h-hello..."

  • Jacob startled at the sound of the other people, and so did Bast for that matter. The large black dog took off running, still clipped to the backpack. Luckily, Jacob wasn't dragged to far, and under different circumstances, had Jacob actually had shoes on and been a little less wobbly, he may of stopped the mutt, but he wasn't able to and the dog raced off, dragging his backpack. "Bast!" Jacob yelled, scrambling up to run after him and promptly tripping over his own feet, falling back onto his face. A good few months at sea didn't do anything good for his balance, he was starting to get the feeling it would take a while to get his landlegs back.

Bast trotted happily Ivan and snuffled at his hand before moving on to the other dog, still dragging the backpack by his leash.

  • A small girl watched the boy. She had brown hair with light blue eyes. Kamilla was only 3 and her father had fallen asleep last night from a sickness but now he won't wake up! She ran over to Jacab quickly hoping he could help."Mister! Mister!"She called in a timid voice.

  • He reached for his pistol when he saw the dog, but as it was friendly, he stopped."is this your dog?" he called looking at bast and kamen, who was happily waggong her til to see another friendly dog.

  • Snow retreated into the trees a bit, not use to seeing so many people at once. "Hi...everyone" she said quietly, unsure how to greet a large group of people. She cursed herself for not bring her gun, or even her knife. She had only been with one large group of people in her time alone, and it....wasn't fun. She had to stop herself from running back to her camp, she didn't want to be alone again

  • Too many people too many guns. Thought maze. Her eyes flickered from one person to the next
They seemed like a save bunch. Mabel they could help her find her brother

  • Oh sry, I'm a airhead

Maze shook her head and said " I wish" . She couldn't help but notice his accent. She patted the dog on the head and smiled.suddenly, he head snapped back to the boy." How did you survive?"

  • Snow ran over and helped him up "Careful now" she said worriedly. She looked off the where Blast ran, "We might want to be careful going after him." Snow mutterd, "Some people around here arent very...nice"

  • Avian stayed hidden expertly in the shadows, watching the group. This was the most he ever did. Ever since his brother, his last family member, had been killed by a desperate traveler, all the remaining shreds of trust and faith he had in humanity shattered. He had been alone now for two months now. Surviving the best he could. On his back was a small pack of supplies he had scavenged from various areas along with the few things his brother had carried with him. He had a 9mm pistol and a switchblade at his hip. He hadn't touched them since the attack and had no wish to but would if the need arose.
