Dapplepaw needs some friends and a crush (a rival would be nice too) ~Open

    Icy blue eyes darted back and forth, scanning the fresh-kill pile. Dapplepaw had joined the clan a moon ago when she was a kittypet. No one seemed to accept her. Sighing, the chocolate tabby she-cat picked out a mouse and settled down to eat.

    Dapplepaw turned her small head to look at Icepaw, her eyes widened in mild surprise. "Hi, Icepaw. My name's Dapplepaw. It's nice to meet you," she mewed, holding out a paw as she had seen her twolegs do once.

    Dapplepaw looked at Icepaw, confused for a moment before shaking her head, remembering that it was the way twolegs greeted each other. She felt her ears become hot with embarrassment. "Nevermind that," she mewed, putting her paw down. "Do you want to go hunting? My mentor let me have the day to myself."

    "Sure! I'll go ask my mentor if I can go!" Replied Icepaw happily as she bounded off toward the warriors den.

    Dapplepaw watched Icepaw run off to the warriors den with her icy blue eyes. And she waited.

    Icepaw came bouncing back from the warriors den with a smile on her face and another apprentice. "My mentor said I could have the day off!" She meowed happily "this is my friend inkpaw" she flicked her tail at the black and white tom standing beside her "I was wondering if he could come too!"
    "Hi" Inkpaw meowed shyly

    Dapplepaw smiled at the tom. "Of course he can come! I was thinking we could hunt at Sunningrocks.

    "Sounds great! I love hunting at Sunning Rocks, it's a great place to sit back and relax too!" meowed Icepaw
    "Yeah there is lots of good prey there too!" meowed Inkpaw "Lets go!" and he and Icepaw raced off toward the entrance

    Dapplepaw bounded after them, welcoming the chilly leafbare winds as they brushed her fur. "You guys lead the way there. I don't know my way through the territory yet!" she called to Icepaw and Inkpaw.

    "Just follow me!" Inkpaw called over his shoulder as burst through the trees to arrive at sunningrocks. He dropped in to a hunting crouch and pounced on a water vole. "Here" he said blushing "It's for you." he dropped it at her feet.

    "Thank you," Dapplepaw mewed, touching her nose to Inkpaw's muzzle. "Maybe I can catch something for you too!" As she spoke, she spotted a squirrel sniffing at the ground behind him. She dropped into a hunter's crouch and stalked towards it, unaware of the owl above her that just happened to spot the same squirrel.

    Rowanpaw, who had been waiting in the tree for hours trying to hunt the owl finally saw a chance and lept, but it flew for a stupid squirrel first. "Wueaaagh!" he yelled as he fell off the branch, clinging to a lower one for dear life.

    Hearing a yell above her, Dapplepaw looked up just in time to see owl feathers in front of her face. She rolled away from the squirrel, which was squeaking its head off as the owl picked it up. "Very nice timing. Need some help?" the tabby called to Rowanpaw.

    "I think I can handle th-AAAGH!" he yelled as he slipped from the brach. He unsheathed his claws and gripped the trunk, sliding down with a horrible sound. He slid off the trunk and onto the ground. Panting, he mewed "S-See? *pant, pant* I told you I could handle it!"

    "Are you OK?!" Icepaw meowed as she ran over to help Rowanpaw from the branch. Inkpaw bounded over to Dapplepaw's side and pressed his muzzle to her side and meowed "It's lucky Rowanpaw was there or you might have been crow-food!"

    "Yeah..." Dapplepaw narrowed her eyes and padded over to Rowanpaw. "Well I see someone's learnt how to climb. I guess I'm supposed to say thank you?" she mewed awkwardly. "Your loud yelling made me see the owl."

    "Well now that that's over with why don't we go and relax on the sunningrocks?" meowed Icepaw giving Rowanpaw a friendly nod. "Sounds great!" meowed Inkpaw, he looked at Dapplepaw and said "what do you think?"
