    Wolfpaw gave up on his effort. Nothing would work. Saying nothing, he nudged the vole to Scotchpaw so Scotchpaw could give Skypaw a gift. I'm doing you a favor, Wolfpaw thought as he padded off. But he wanted to fight for Skypaw..he loved her.


    Featherpaw padded outside and mewed, ''Hi!'' to Scotchpaw and Skypaw.

    ''I heard that there was a flood near the river, and it has changed shape and course! Wanna go explore, me, you, and Skypaw?'' Featherpaw was excited.


    Wolfpaw padded to his den miserably.

    ''Oh! You too Longpaw,'' Featherpaw mewed happily.As she padded to the forest she mewed,''I wonder when our mentors will make us warriors?'' Featherpaw glanced at everyone. They all looked like warriors.

    He smiled
    And looked at the ground
    As his paws slid Into a huge paw print in the muddy ground

    Featherpaw turned around and could hardly believe her eyes. ''Cool!'' she mewed. She heard a closer growl again. Featherpaw's neck fur bristled.

    Long paws tail wrapped feather paws tail and he tugged it a little and hissed
    " RUN.."
    He froze

    Ic: Suddenly, a huge bear stood up on its hind legs and had a broad pointed nose. It growled and charged for the two apprentices. ''Run!'' Featherpaw mewed in fright, dashing back too camp.

    Long paw ran urging feather paw to run faster

    Feather paw tried to keep on running, but she stumbled over a log and broke her right paw. Feather paw mewed to Longpaw, "Go, I'll kill the bear." Featherpaw panted and turned around, meeting the bear,s amber eyes.

    Long paws eyes grew huge
    "Your hurt..."
    He frowned
    "TOO BAD!"
    He dragged her by the scruff running slow since he was holding alot of weight.

    Featherpaw struggled to let go. She escaped Longpaw's grasp and limped toward the bear, clawing and hissing at it. She drove the bear into a stream which led to a waterfall, but the bear dragged her in. Featherpaw sinked and drowned.
