Flicker felt a peacekeeper nudge her and she padded slowly on stage. She felt nervous as a million cat's eyes were gazing at her and the others. She gulped and stood there like a dumbfounded animal.

Cameras were filmed and photographed nonstop. Peacekeepers led Hawk, Rain, and Flicker to a big speedtrain. Effie walked past them and said, ''Enjoy your ride in the capitol! Thankfully, I'll be coming with you.'' She chattered about and went inside. Just about when the 3 were going to go inside, an old she cat elder mewed, ''Take these.'' she emptied a bad with 3 collars and 3 shiny golden pins. The one for Flicker was a mockingjay surrounded by fire, the one for Rain was a mockingjay with water waves, and the one for Hawk had a mockingjay flying above mountains. ''Thank you,'' Flicker whispered. She strapped her black collar with the pin around her neck. ''Get inside, hurry hurry!'' Effie obnoxsiously meowed.

Flicker couldn't beilive her eyes. Seats made of squirrel fur... cushions made of velvet... even lights... she sat down in a badger furred chair and she ate some chopped up rabbit with some poppy seed seasoning.

Effie appeared in the room. ''We don't train until we get to the capitol. We will make you healthy so you can train. My stylists will fix up your fur now. Hawk, may I introduce your stylist, Escorpia. Rain, this is Sima, and Flicker, Cinna will be your stylist. Now, they all know what they're doing, so don't hiss and be fussy.'' Effie sashayed out of the room. Flicker went to her room and saw a bed with silk bedding, a tv, a projector, and more. She went to the bathroom and started combing and washing her fur.
