  • "Alright, we'll take it one step at a time then." Seabreeze hopped onto the lowest branch. "We won't go past the seventh branch." The said branch was about a fifth of the tree's height, not very far up.

  • Patchpaw nodded quickly. "Sure, S-Seabreeze." She stuttered. Then she took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and crouched like she was about to pounce at another cat, in a battle. Fighting came naturally to her. Climbing, not so much. She pounced upwards, her front paws scrabbling at the branch, raking deep troughs in the bark. With a deep grunt, she flopped onto the thick branch, all four paws hanging off to the sides, her chin lying on the branch.

  • "Good. Now, when climbing a tree, it is generally best not to stay in the same spot too long, as you lose your momentum. Use your hindlegs to push off the branch." Seabreeze demonstrated by leaping from one branch to the other.

  • "Got it." Patchpaw said, a little bit more confident. She sighed, and in one smooth movement, she lifted off, one front paw catching on the branch, followed by another, which allowed her to tug herself up, and lifting her front paws up the instant her hind paws landed, she pulled herself up to the next branch, then paused.

  • "Great!" Seabreeze meowed encouragingly. "Keep it up and you'll get used to the movement. You'll pick up speed as you go along."

  • Patchpaw looked down at Seabreeze, a few branches below her, mouth open slightly to speak, when she stopped, and swayed slightly where she stood. The ground was far away. Very far. She shook her head. It wasn't that far... It looked further than it was. With a slight smile, she nodded to Seabreeze and continued up one branch. There she paused. "Uh.. S-Seabreeze? H-How do I get down?" She said nervously, her stutter coming back at this grim thought.

  • "Going down is a bit trickier so be careful, 'kay? Make sure you know where you're jumping and for now, dig your claws into the branch that you land on. Basically, just jump like you did going up. You don't need to put so much push into it anymore though because you're going with gravity." Seabreeze stood on her branch and demonstrated before jumping back up to her original branch. She didn't wnat to put too much space between her and Patchpaw, in case she felt uncomfortable.

  • Echopaw laid in the grass, listening to the apprentices mewlings. she wondered how old the apprentice was. she hoped the mentor-seabreeze- would find her and take her to the windclan camp. but she was intruding..... Echopaws stomache growled she wished she could eat from windclan territory. but she knew she couldn't. she had already stolen prey from thunderclan territory. Echo paw, felt the grass tickle her ear and she shook her head. crap she thought as the whole patch of grass around her shook loudly from her shaking. Echopaw heard Seabreeze say. "What was that?"

  • ooc: No powerplaying, Echo~ :)

Seabreeze was up on the branch. "Ne, Patchpaw, you're doing a wonderful job. I bet you'll be overcome your fear really quick."

  • Echopaw crept forward toward the Seabreeze. Echopaw was but 5 moons old, practicly a kit. she watched the apprentice in the tree. when the mentor had her back turned she let herself become visible through the grass. she watched intently, feeling slightly exposed in plain veiw. "H-Hello?" Echopaw stammered.

  • Patchpaw turned suddenly at Echopaw's voice. Her front paws found themselves on thin air, and she toppled forward. She thudded to the ground with a groan. She blinked, jumped up, and glared at Echopaw. "This better be good, cause that hurt, and I'll never climb another flippin tree in my life." She growled angrily.

  • I-i-i need to talk to your leader

  • In a hurry, Seabreeze leaped down to the base of the tree. "Patchpaw, are you alright?" She began to fuss good-naturedly over her apprentice before turning to Echopaw. "Who are you?"
