Bloodshadow spat, "Now your head is working! Get your lazy butt to the training hollow!"
-
"Fine, Fine... Yeesh!" I said, sprinting towards the training hollow.
-
A group of muscular cats huddled in a circle.
-
I groaned and squished myself into the circle, sighing in annoyance.
-
A muscular dark brown tabby shoved his face into Ivy's. "Follow me." He stalked off onto a trail, leading to a private hollow.
-
I narrowed my eyes but followed him, my ears flicking uneasily.
-
Spectacularkill turned to Ivy, icy blue eyes blazing. "What's the first thing you lung for to make a kill?" he asked after a brief hesitation.
-
"Umm, The Throat" I said, trying to decide between the underbelly or the Throat.
-
Spectacularkill nodded. "Correct. Another way is for the underbelly, but the throat is an easy go." Another muscular tabby, a russet one, shoved in a cowering apprentice. Spectacularkill stood back, and ordered, "Ivy, kill him."
-
My eyes widened and I stared at the apprentice, starting to tremble. 'No....No, I can't!' I thought to myself, taking a step back and hesitating as I stared.
-
Spectacularkill and Flamescorch hissed at the same time, "NOW."
-
I nearly jumped out of my fur, but instead of jumping at the apprentice, I leaped at Spectacularkill's throat, unsheathing my claws as I prepared to fight and probably get killed.
-
Spectacularkill fell back, lying limp. Flamescorch sat back in interest.
-
I panted hardly and finally relized what i'd done. I trembled and looked down at the blood-stained paws until my gaze fixed onto the apprentice. "Go. . .Get out of here" I mumbled, still staring at the blood and limp body.
-
The apprentice had froze to his spot, overly wide eyes darting from Flamescorch, to Ivy. He tried to run, but Flamescorch blocked his path, pushing his face into his, and sneering, "get outta here, kit. Come back later. We'll be watching you." The apprentice, a black tom, stood his ground, furious. "I'm not going to just stand here and be treated like a piece of fox dung. I want to be treated like you!" He hurled himself at Flamescorch, sinking his teeth into his throat. He fell back, dead, and he vanished. The apprentice turned to Ivy, smiling with satisfaction. "If I wasn't dead, my mother would be so proud. Flamescorch killed my father."
The sun was finally setting, so I yawned, padding to my den. I was determined to learn more about this Dark Forest. Oakpaw glanced my way with curious eyes. "Together?", she asked. I know she is as scared as I am, so I vowed, "together." We both fell into our nests, falling into a deep sleep... -
I watched in awe but soon smiled lightly at the apprentice. For a moment I thought he'd be crow food but I guess I was wrong. "I'm Ivy, By the way. my father was a Rouge and abandond me, and my mother. . .She died when I was 5 moons old. . .But nobody knows how she died or they didn't tell me. . .But anyway, That was pretty brave. I sure bet your mother is proud, but why are in the darkforest anyways?" I asked, also briefly explaining my own history when i was a kit. I wonder what my brother, IcePaw, is doing. . .
Icepaw groomed himself boredly as he then wondered around, smirking when the scent of blood and death reached his nose.
-
The tom straightened himself and bristled, glaring at Ivy. "You probably thought I was a wimp, didn't you? Well, I murdered my brother." He unsheathed his claws. "Anyway, my name's Ravenpaw."
-
I chuckled in pure amusement. This'll be fun. "I murdered half of the apprentices, and almost killed my brother but, unfortunately, my father hunted us down and killed us. Oh, And yes, yes I did think you were a Wimp," I said, smirking.
-
Ravenpaw bared his teeth, unsheathing his claws, when he heard a snarl from the bushes.
I slithered out of the bushes, facing Ravenpaw. Surprise flooded over me, threatening to knock me over. He seemed... Familiar. "R-Ravenpaw?" I stammered, looking in his eyes. Ravenpaw faced me, eyes blazing, and I just realized I gotten into the middle of a fight. He lunged- for my exposed throat. Power filled my muscles as I braced for the attack. While he was in the air, I slid underneath him, rolled over, and kicked his belly, sending him flying the other way. He let out a yip of surprise. I grunted as I struggled to my aching body, and he took the distraction as an advantage. He sprang at me, and gave me a nice strong hold on my throat, ripping through my flesh. A hot substance filled my mouth as I lay there. The last thing I heard was, "Oh my StarClan! Smokepaw," before light filled over me.
