Hope didn't notice that they had arrived at her classroom, because her head was buried in her knees. Her arms were wrapped around her legs tightly, her knees drawn to her chest. She had her eyes wide open, peeking over her knee caps. She was facing the wall below the phone. The class was reading. The teacher glanced worriedly over at Hope. Then she spotted Anna and Joey. "Are you here for Hope?"
