Peri + Paradise + Catnip = WHAT! [private]

    Paradisefalls yawned and stretched. The sunlight was just starting to touch the forest. It was dawn. The white medicine cat glanced at the sleeping form of Peri. Technically Periwinkle but he always liked to fondly call her Peri instead. Looking at her, he knew they could never be they were medicine cats after all. And the last mistake with catnip had nearly destroyed all traces of Winter's sanity. Since then Paradisefalls had avoided all catnip in an attempt to break his addiction that had caused all this trouble. He was struggling with it but so far he hadn't had any catnip in the past few days. Aside from Winter's sanity at least there wasn't any more damage done from that one day.

    "Goodmorning Paradise." Periwinkle meowed, her tail curled around her paws. She had something to say to him... It was a matter that not only concerned herself but the tom-cat before her.

    "Morning," Paradisefalls meowed. He licked his paw a few times fixing the fur so it wasn't as messy. "We need to get some more burdock roots soon, but the ground is to frozen to dig for them," he said. Yeah it was rather formal but that's what his relationship with Peri had to be. Little did he know what Peri would tell him was anything but formal.

    "Im Pregnant."


    She just said. No need to tip toe around. It was the truth and it needed to be said. "Were.. We are going to have kits together Paradise." she meowed, her blue eyes brightening with happiness and fear.

    Paradisefalls was shocked by the sudden news. That was one thing he never expected to hear Peri say. "Kits....but we are medicine cats...i-its forbidden," he said. He meet Peri's eyes, he loved her deeply and were they not medicine cats he would have been gladdened by the news. Instead he was concerned, would they have to hide the truth of whose the kits parents were? He paced a bit before pausing. "What are we going to do?"

    She bristled. "What am I going todo? So automatically you put all the pressure on my shoulders?"

    "I said we not you," Paradisefalls said gently. He doubted he could ever really get upset with Periwinkle. "I'll always stand by your side, you'll never have to face anything alone....but I'm not sure how to handle this. I suppose we could say the kits are loners and let another queen raise them...or live up to the truth."

    Periwinkle instantly relaxed. Her player just didnt know how to read shiz. Sighing she sat back down and looked at her paws, tail curling around her already slightly swollen belly. "I want to keep them. I want them to know who there parents are..."


    After being put in the paws of Auburnfur and abused... She couldn't do that to her own litter. "Paradise.. Please stay with me.. We could raise them up, together."

    Paradisefalls nodded as he realized deep down he wanted that as well. Just because he had made a mistake didn't mean the kits needed to suffer for it. He wasn't sure how StarClan would react to this or the leaders of the clan for that matter, but he had to live up to his mistake. Tho technically he had mated with Peri when he had been a warrior.


    He padded closer to his mate and sat down next to her. "I'm not going to leave you," he promised. "and we will raise them but promise me you won't let me have catnip anymore. I'm trying to break that addition that started all of this."

    "Well now that I am pregnant you are now the Head ranking medicine cat of the den." She purred. "Which is fine, it means I can relax more while you run the place."


    Periwinkle giggled and touched noses to the tom-cat.

    Paradisefalls thought it was more than her pregnancy for his recent promotion, but that wasn't the matter at hand right now. He chuckled. "Relax? You know I'll still need your help in here as much as ever, with Winter now gone," he said.

    ic; Periwinkle was stretched out in her nest, head placed on her paws while her swollen belly was round with her unborn kits. Tail wrapping protectively around her the medicine cat let out a yawn before kneeding her claws into the soft moss under her paws. "Paradise." She murmured in her sleep.

    Paradisefalls had his head tucked under his paws as he slept. It didn't look comfortable, but hey to a cat it was comfortable. He lifted his head quickly hearing his name. Being a medicine cat had made him a light sleeper, as cats sometimes came looking for help in the middle of the night. "Hm?" he half asked half hummed looking at Peri.
