    Patience nodded and got up from the couch. She went upstairs and changed into her favorite outfit, which was the on she was wearing when she met Liam. She went downstairs and smiled.

    "Thanks.." She said, twirling her hair around her finger. "Let's go Leyum!" She said with a small laugh.

    "Good morning" Vivian said, as she poked through the fridge, nothing that sounded good came up from her search she shut the fridge. A wave of nausea rolled in her stomach. She groaned, softly. She sat down an waited for her sons to come down. Her daughter was living in hospital. Vivian knew she wasn't going to make it, her cancer was aggressive and the chemo hadn't helped not had all the surgery's.


    "Morning, love" Louis said kissing her forehead, he smiled at her.

    She smiled back "I'm hungry" she pecked his nose "Want me to go make waffles?"


    He smiled and took her hand, leading her to the car and opening her door

    Patience stepped inside the car, and buckled herself in. She sighed, thinking everything over that had happened lately.

    Patience looked at Liam and sighed,"Li... I know I asked before and you said no but.. Can we please get a dog?" She said eagerly,"Please?"

    He sighed and glanced at her as he drove "Honey, both you and I have to travel so much, and with a new baby coming.... I just think its not the best time"

    She sighed,"Then what pet can I have?! Li, you and I both know I love animals. Could I have a ferret then? A snake? A lizard?!"

    "Hamsters are vicious Li. And they don't live very long.... Ooh, could I have a rat?" She asked eagerly."Rats are so freaking cute!"

    "Yes, I would love waffles" Louis said, sitting up.

    She smiled "Then waffles it is" she left the bed and went downstairs, pulling out the ingredients. She swallowed a gasp as she glimpsed the picture of Louis, her, and her niece playing in their backyard that was on the fridge. She braced her hands on the counter as sadness overcame her, that would never be her child having fun with her, a perfect mixture of her and her husband would never run around the house.


    He furrowed his brow "I don't like rats, how about a bunny?"

    Patience gasped,"You don't like rats?! Ugh... Well, bunnies are okay but not exactly my ideal pet. I'd be willing to get a rat, a dog, a lizard, or something like that!"

    "Yeah, they are. So... I can have a snake then?" Patience felt pretty hopeful that'd he'd finally agree on a pet. They'd been talking about this for so long,"But eventually I want a dog too."

    Patience grinned,"Yess! Thank you Li!" She said excitedly. She felt her tummy again,"We almost there? Junior here is hungry!"
