Training (Leechpaw)

    The male sat with his tail tucked neatly around his paws.

    "I would not say so, unless you do not count myself among the living."

    Midnightrun raised a brow. "Then I would find ways to prove that I am more than a hallucination, and that my claws, teeth, and fur work just as well as any other living cat, perhaps better than some."

    "You know, I think that all the clans have just been in such chaos lately, what with the attacks and all. Sometimes I wonder if Starclan is just playing around with us for their amusement. I imagine that after a while, it can get a bit boring," Hollowsong murmured to her not-there-apprentice. When no reply came, she turned briefly.


    "Oh no..."


    Where was Leechpaw?

    "Uh, well..." she looked away and coughed deliberately. "Well, that is, you see..." Then she looked up, eyes bright. "Well, I once had to help chase away a dog. It almost ate me." She shivered from the memory. "But I don't have any training. Could you possibly...?" she trailed off hopefully.

    Could he possibly teach her? Inside, Midnightrun's head shook in disgust. Teaching another, an apprentice, would be just like if he was in the clan again, the clan of traitors. What if she learned what she wanted, and simply ran off? Or actually turned on him in their sessions?

    After a moment's silence, he flicked his tail. Instead of responding in an angry manner, he chose to explain.

    "Now, try to reason with me. I hate this clan, and all those in it. They flat out ruined my life. Now, explain to me why I should stop and train one of their apprentices? Why would I do that?"
