December srugged at his comment, looking down at her feet. "Nah...He always seemed like he never struggled. Besides that one time when his mom wouldn't let hiom get a dog because of his..." She stopped when she fet a warmth, a weight placed on top of her hand. Dee blushed, and looked over at him iwth a small smile. "You know how to charm a girl in an instant, don't you, huh?"

"And, do you have objections to that?" Asher questioned, a smile spreading across his face as he met December's blue gaze.
-
"Err...Lemme think." December said, and stroking her hand over her chin like a man stroking his beard while thinking. With a smirk, she turned to him and shook her head, blonde waves crashing across her eyes like an ocean. "No. So that's why I'm gonna do one little thing." She leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, then leaned back and tilted her head. "Any objections to that, Asher?" Dee laughed.
-
In response, Asher leaned in, kissing her lightly on the cheek,"Does that answer your question?"
-
"Yes. Yes it does." dee whispered, closing her eyes. She leaned backwards, now laying don on the dusty ground. "Look! I can make a dust angel!" She giggled, moving her arms up and down. Suddenly, a man came out from the plane and begun signaling for the passangers to board once more. "See you on the plane!" December rose, taking Spotty and Lark's cage and rushing onto the plane. She sat down in her seat, pulled out sticky notes, wrote on one, placed it on Asher's seat, and raced into the dark room where Spotty and Lark stayed.
She placed the cage down, unlocking it and letting the two kittens free. They bounces out, mewluing and clawing at her knees. She giggled scratching behind their ears. "I let Aser a note saying I'd be in here...Maybe he'll come in too with Splash..." Dee whispered to no one in paticular. -
When Asher had boarded the plane, he found the small note, a bit of handwriting scrawled onto it. Picking up Splash, he made his way to the back room, wondering whether he should leave his beloved parrot there or not.
-
December heard him approaching. Her cats crawled around the ground, nibbling on the stray food pellets. The girl hid behind the door, and when he came close, she jumped out and yelled, "Boo!" She smiled, opening the door a bit wider. "C'mon in." She said.
-
Asher slowly walked into the back room. December's kittens looked at Splash mischievously,"Don't you dare!" He warned.
-
"Don't worry! They just like to play..." December murmured, stroking the gray tabby tom lightly. He purred, nuzzling up against her hand. "They're really sweet." She added. Meanwhile, the little brown she-cat pounced onto Asher's foot, and was now laying on it, nudging her head to his ankles. "Aw. She likes you." Dee laughed, turning to face him. Wow. I feel like one of those crazy cat-lozing people! Ergh!
-
Asher put down Splash gently, yet shyed away from the kitten. Leaning down, he stroked the she-cat gently, although a bit nervously as well,"I'm not much of an animal person. I have only Splash, and that's the only pet I've ever had. Animals are rate in Ember; unless you were born, and raised on a farm," Asher explained, now petting the kitten a bit more than he had been.
-
"Oh." December said, interested in their conversations once more. She sat down, looking into his emerald gaze. Lark climbed onto her and lay in her lap, curling up and purring. She smiled, stroking his small head. "Well, Splash is a beautiful bird...I must say that. Vivid colors, gorgeous wings." Dee sighed, looking at Spotty. She smiled lightly again, and than whistled. "C'mere girl!" The brown tabby gave Asher a lick on the palm before padding towards December. She climbed onto her lap beside her brother, and the two slowly drifted into sleep.
"These are the only pets I've ever had. Honestly, I wanted a dog. My parents said they'd be too dangerous, though. So, just about nine weeks ago did I get these kittens. Brother and sister, both two months old, sweetest little things." Her eyes stared off into the distance, and Dee heaved a sigh. "My mother didn't want to get an animal period, but my fatehr talked her out of that. She never exactly pets Spotty and LArk or gives them attention like my dad and I do." -
"At least you may have the choice. Sometimes, that is," Asher quickly added in, obviously nervous of making her life sound... Perfect. But, it did to him; taking into consideration what life seemed in Ember. Opening the small door of the bronze cage, he let Splash flutter out, perching himself atop Asher's shoulder. With two fingers, the young male began to stroke his parrot, which rested peacefully, despite the kittens being so close.
-
December just shrugged, taking a deep breath. She looked down at her kitten, tilting her head. They get to live so peacefully... She thought, listening to their restful purrs. Smiling, Dee continued to stroke them. She looked back at Asher, and than sprawled out her legs, careful to let her kittens rest still. "So, can you tell me a bit more of Ember, ot show me some more pictures?" She asked.
-
"Since I'm not the best at explaining a certain place, or object; here are just a few pictures," Asher replied, handing another booklet over. It was larger than the first, and nearly bulging with different types of pictures,"This is the lake during the summer months."

After flipping through dozens of other pictures, he finally came to the last,"And this is the Victorian mansion; which now holds three families, including mine."

"That's really pretty." December said. Then, an announcement came on saying all passengers hd to go abck to their seats. "Let's go..." She sighed, picking her kittens up gently and laying them in the cage. She closed the door to their cage, watching them sleep. Standing up, she turned to Asher and nodded, ebfore walking out the door. Dee took her seat and leaned back, curling up with the pillow. It was still late, prbably only midnight, and she felt dazed and tired.
-
Asher stayed behind a bit, Splash still perched atop his shoulder. Taking the bronze-coloured cage in one hand, and the blue blanket in the other, he continued slowly to his seat. Seeing December was tired, he didn't bother to talk, only continued to fix the lens on his camera. Taking out a small notebook, he wrote down the captions for the day; scrawling down which lens he had used, as well as where he had managed to take the picture. The ones that hadn't turned out as well, he pasted into the notebook, making a mental note to himself. Asher, also, put the beautiful pictures into a new booklet, titled,'Chicago Plane Flight, and Trip.'
-
December soon drifted into sleep, not worried about the plane crashing or anything else. In fact, she felt like all sher needed was Asher right now...
Sunlight crept into the window, flashing onto Dee's golden hair. She opened her eyes slowly, forgetting where she was for a quick moment. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she looked up to see a blurry Asher. And a blurry plane. Rubbing her eyes again, her vision became clear. She lifted herself up, wicning slightly, and stretched. Sleeping on a plane wasn't her favorite thing to do.
The sunlight was aiming straight the window, though it was a dull light. She placed her hand on the seat, not feeling a lot of warmth. They were defiantly close to Chicago. She checked her watch, seeing that it was 7:10 AM. One more hour and the ride would be over. She'd lose Asher. -
"Are you up now?" Asher inquired, a grin spreading upon his face, without even turning his gaze, he knew that December was awake. Splash was asleep, but still perched upon his shoulder, while he worked himself, finally putting the many booklets away. Leaning in, Asher kissed her lightly on her cheek before backing away, ready to put Splash in his cage before the parrot awoke. With a gentle hand, he brought the bird into it's cage, placing the blue blanket over it.
-
"Yeah. I think so..." December said. She then felt him kiss her cheek and smiled lightly. One of the attendance people came around, seeing Dee and Asher were the first to awaken. "May I get you any breakfast?" He asked, looking at the two. "Yes, please." The man nodded and handed them a small piece of paper. The menu, neat handwriting on both sides. "Hm...This plane feels more like a resturaunt." She whispered to Asher, gesturing to the menu. "Okay. I'll have two, small chocolate chip pancakes, turkey bacon, homefries, and a glass of chocolate milk."
Dee placed the piece of paper on Asher's chest. "Order up." -
"Two pancakes, a bit of bacon, and hot chocolate, please," Asher replied as the slip of paper entered his hands,"Thank you," He said graciously as he handed over the menu,"I've never seen so much food choices on just a slip of paper," He said, obviously awed by the many choices. As the man passed again, he put in another small order, out of December's hearing,"A bit of birdseed," He said motioning towards the cage,"And a chocolate-covered strawberries for the lady, and myself."
