She looked over at Brackenpaw and smiled, she watched him smile back before turning back to her father, "And if you couldnt trust cats why did you trust Creamlily?"

Emberkit shook her head, "No shes not, the only diffrence is that she fell in love with a tom from a diffrent clan and gave birth to half-clan kits. You couldnt trust her anymore then you can trust Brackenpaw, please be nice to Brackenpaw, please?" She made her eyes grow wide and let her lip quiver.

Emberkit purred, "Thank you Daddy!" She bounded up to Brackenpaw, "Come on, we need to build you a warm nest!" She lead him into the cane and founs some moss near by, "Here!" Brackenpaw started pulling out the moss and made it into a nest, he curled up inside it, his bones and mucles ached. Emberkit laid down beside him and watched him fall asleep before falling asleep herself.

Creamlilly gently took Emberkit and placed her with Mousekit. Spitfire felt the wind hit his pelt and smiled. "I love the mountain breeze."

Emberkit opened one eye, "Mama, I want to stay with Brackenpaw." She flailed her paws in the air whe her mother was carring her.

She purred and set her down before nuzzling her little belly. Spitfire smiled and kept looking outside.

Emberkit yawned and closed her eyes.

She smiled and curled up with the kits.

Brackenpaw woke up late at night, he saw Spitfires dark figure still sitting at the cave entrance, he padded up to him, "I can take guard while you sleep with your family."

He nodded and yawned. Spitfire stood up and walked over to his family and curled up behind Creamlilly.

Brackenpaw watched him leave before taking his place and stared out at the snowy landscape.

Spitfire and Creamlilly snuggled close to each other and slept.

Brackenpaw tucked his paws underneath him. Emberkit woke up and quietly padded over to Brackenpaw. She laid down beside him and pressed close to him. Brackenpaw purred and started to lick her head.

He watched but fell asleep. 'She's just a kit.' He thought and slept.

Emberkit looked over at her father, she knew he was watching them.
