It was quiet in the junkyard until a twoleg's vehicle drove by and the twoleg threw out a cardboard box out its window and onto the concrete ground in front of the junkyard. As soon as the box hit the ground, a shrill voice cried out from inside of the box. Finally, the top of the box popped open and a black and white newborn kit's head poked out. "Meeeew!" it cried, hoping someone will hear it.

Misty padded along, sniffing the air for food when a twoleg's monster drove by. At the sight, she leaped behind a small bush to hide, her single eye narrowed. She stared as they through out a box, and her fur brisled when she heard a shreak. A kit? How could a twoleg dothat to a kit? When the monster drove away, she saw the box lid pop open, and raced to the box. She stared wide-eyed at the kit. A twoleg did throw a kit in a box. she thought. She bent down to check the kit for any inguries. "It's alright, little one." she mewed softly. "I am here."
-
"Meeew?" the kit meowed in a questioning way. He (its a boy) turned over on his side and swished his black tail.
-
Misty gently picked up him up by his scruff. She needed to get this kit to a safe place. She looked up, it was almost noon now. She heald the kit tight in her jaws as she leaped over the fence, and down a trail of trash and rats. Soon, when the trail ended, she came to a abandoned fox's den that she used as a home in the Bright forest. She carried the kit gently inside, and at the back of the den, put him down. She licked his forhead. "It's alright."
-
Feeling safe, the kit let out a weak purr. He toppled over clumsily because of his stubby legs and swatted at the bugs that crawled on the ground and onto his fur.
-
Misty smiled and purred. She watched him for a bit, then relized he was nameless. If he already had a name, then he wouldnt be able to tell her it, being a newborn. She needed to think him a name.
OOC: What's his name? -
ooc you can name him
ic The kit rolled on the den ground, and batted playfully at a dry leaf that was in the fox den.
-
Misty smiled. "Your name.." she mewed quitely, then thought for a few moments. "I'll call you Dusk." she meowed. "Dusk." she repeated quietly.
-
ooc good choice
"Doosk!" Dusk squealed, in an attempt to say "Dusk".
-
"Yes, little one. Dusk." she mewed warmly. She peeked outside, the sky was darkening and showing signs of rain now. She looked around. This fox den wouldnt shield them very well, it had holes and rain could poor in. She picked Dusk up gently by the scruff, and raced farther into the bright forest. She stopped next to a large oak, and pushed leaves aside. She moved a branch, revealing a tunnel. She squeased in, and soon it opened up into a small cave with a small crack, where light seeped in from. She collected moss from the rocks outside of the tunnel, and made a nest. She put Dawn gently onto the nest, and then lay behind him. "It's alright." she mewed. "It is just going to be awhile before the rain stops."
-
ooc dont you mean dusk?
Dusk lifted his head up and sniffed the air: he caught the scent of the pouring rain. He cringed because of becoming afraid of the rain ever since he was thrown into a cold rain puddle when he was tossed out in the box. He shivered at the at the soaking wet memory, and, seeing comfort, he nuzzled up to Misty, feeling her warm fur with his whiskers and paws.
-
OOC: Yeah, oops

IC: Misty smiled and wrapped her tail tightly around dawn. It will be okay. she thought as she rasped her toung across his forhead. She then settled down to sleep. She watched Dusk for a while, thinking of what transpired that day. She had been chased out of a twoleg farm, trying to hunt a mice, then she went to the junk yard to hopefully find a rat or some human food. That was when she found Dawn, abandoned by her twolegs. I always knew Twoleg's were cruel. she thought as she dozed off, falling into sleep.
-
ooc um you did it again two times actually

ic Dusk curled up more against Misty, finally feeling the happiness he never really had. He let out a weak purr, pulled off some moss for a blanket and flicked his ears before going to sleep.
-
OOC: lol :) i fail. We should just skip to the morning, becuz there would be nothing to say about cats sleeping.
Soon, the rain ended and it was morning. Misty blinked open her eyes, ajusting to the light. She peeked down at Dusk, and let out a small purr. He was so perfect. How could anyone abandon this little scrap? She lay still, so she wouldnt disturb his sleep. Then she relized, this was a newborn, it needed milk. But, she didnt give birth to a kit before and never will most likely, so she wouldnt have the milk to provide food for the kit. How would he eat?
-
Dusk sniffed in air, half-asleep, and woke up when he realized the rain stopped. He looked up at Misty and meowed as a greeting.
-
Misty purred as she got to her paws. She needed to get some kind of source of milk for the kit. She picked Dusk up gently by the scruff, and climbed out of the tunnel. She wasnt surprised the ground was muddy, but it was wet like water and the breeze was freezing. She relized it was close to leafbare, now. The weather was almost as cold. She couldnt leave Dusk alone, though, nomadder the weather. Not just yet. She carried him out out of the bright forest, and quickened her pace until she was racing into the neiborhood. She came upon a twoleg home, that she was quite familiar with. She carried Dusk to the doorstep, and curled her tail around him protectively. She let out a loud meow, and soon a female twoleg answered. As soon as she saw Dusk, she went inside. "Hush, little one." she murmered. Moments later, the twoleg came out, putting down a big, round hard leaf with milk in it. The twoleg went inside. She unwrapped her tail around Dusk, to let him get at the milk.
-
Dusk sniffed the milk in the leaf and nervously lapped a drop up. He didn't like it at first, for not having milk in a while, but then he was eagerly slurping the milk up until the leaf was empty.

Comes out of a room in the house "what is going on in here...."
-
Seeing a kittypet appear, she picked Dusk up gently by the scruff. She nodded to the kittypet, turned, and padded away from the doorstep. This kittypet might have seen her before, she came sometimes. The twoleg would give her something to eat when she couldnt find anything in leafbare. This twoleg was a good one.
