  • Nightstalk sat beneath the Gnarled Tree, waiting for his apprentice to arrive for training.

  • Needlepaw came over to the gnareled tree as silent as the still air. He dipped his head to Nightstalk. "Good day." He meowed calmly.

  • Nightstalk rose to his paws. "There you are. Good day to you as well." He hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say next. "Er...how about we go hunting? Unless you'd rather practice fighting moves or something..."

OOC: sorry for taking so long :P

  • Nightstalk nodded. "Okay," he meowed quietly. "Er...can you smell anything here?"

  • Needlepaw nodded his head and pointed toward a spot where a vole was munching on a small seed.

  • "That's right," Nightstalk praised. "Try to catch it now, remember the proper crouch technique." The black cat's eyes gleamed with pride and excitement for his apprentice, and he watched intently.

  • Needlepaw remembered what Greypelt said to him once, "Keep your tail low". So he did just that. He snuck up on the vole. He pounced. But the mouse went too fast. He missed.

  • "That was really close," Nightstalk praised, "try not to hesitate for so long before you jump, and make sure you leap quickly before it sees you."

  • Needlepaw nodded his head and tried again. wow! A bird! he thought as he spotted a sparrow. Then he lept. He quickly caught it and broght it down. "I guess im good at catching birds." He meowed as he shook the dust from his pelt.

  • Nightstalk purred with pride. "Good job," he exclaimed. "That was well spotted. Now bury it and we can take it to the elders later."

  • OOC - quite alright...I'm no better, look at that...5 days without posting!

Nightstalk nodded. "Right...I guess we could call it a day for now, we'll train some more tomorrow. I'm going to continue hunting. I'll get your prey for you on the way back," he meowed, nodding to the buried catch.
