"Emily tripped me and I hit my head hard on the ground. Everything is spinning" Mindy frowned, and got out of Mason's arms. "This is Mason. He is new here" mindy said, sitting in a chair.
"I knew I never seen him around here. I'm Mrs. Woods its nice to see someone is being nice to Mindy for once. She's always coming in for some injury" she said.
Mason smiled and nodded. "I don't see why everybody dislikes her, then again everybody hated me at my old school..." He trailed off, shaking his head.
Mindy shook her head, trying to make everything stop spinning. "Ugh.."
Mason walked over to her. "Don't move your head, that will only make it worse." He murmured.
Mrs. Woods looked at Mindy head, and sighed. "Why must the cheerleaders bully poor Mindy." She murmured, and grabbed a ice pack. "You might have to go home Mindy. We don't need you to come back because you broke your nose walking into a wall"she said, and put the icepack on the bump.
"But I was gonna show Mason around!" She protested, standing up. She fell into Mason's arms, whining.
Mason caught her easily, chuckling. "You need to go home and stay healthy, too." He murmured, looking down at her.
Mindy frowned, crossing her arms. "But I can't just let Mason stay here with those mean cheerleaders."
Mason lifted her up into his arms and placed her on one of the beds in the room. "Relax, I can take care of myself." He assured her.
"No... well can you at least take me home Mason." Mindy asked, frowning a bit
Mason shook his head. "I don't have a car, Mindy. Also I have no idea where you live, I don't want you walking in your contidtion." He murmured gently. "You need an adult, not a teenager like me."
"Take me to the office so I can call my Aunt then." She sighed, and held her arms out"
Mason smiled and lifted her up. "Sure, you little thing." He carried her out of the nurse's office.
Mindy held her head, laying her head mon his shoulder. "Mason why are yu being so nice to me?"
Mason shrugged as he walked down the hall. "You're special." He stated simply.
"How am i special.. I get bullied all day, and no one likes me but you"
Mason shrugged again as they reached the office. "Honestly, I don't know." He murmured. "You're just special to me." He smiled.
Mindy smiled, and kissed his cheek softly. "Go to class okay" She whispered, getting out of his arms. She slowly walked inside, holding her head.
Mason's eyes widened in surprise when she kissed his cheek. He lightly touched the spot where she'd kissed him, and he smiled. He watched her go before he turned and walked down the hallway to find his next class.
Mindy grabbed the Office phone after asking for permisson, and called her aunt Rose. She held her head, as she waited for her to awnser. "Pick up please.." She whispered. She smiled as her aunt awnsered, and Mindy explained why she had to come and pick her up.
Mason walked into his classroom a few minutes late. He gave a quick, muttered excuse to his teacher before slipping into an empty seat in the back.
