Spike let out out a roar of pain, he laid on his side twitching a little bit from the blow. He shakily got to his feet and glowered at Shadow, he lunged forward and was about to use Take Down.

Shadow started to stand back up, but as soon as he put pressure on his front leg, searing pain shot from his shoulder and down his leg. The Luxray had no idea what Spike's crunch had done to his shoulder, but he didn't have time to ponder on it. Seeing Spike attack, Shadow threw himself out of the way, landing on his side.

Spike spun around towards Shadow and growled lowly, his tail thashing back and forth. ''Enough!'' Kiru shouted as she charged forward at Spike and used Slash. Spike was knocked into a nearby tree, he got to his feet shakily, glaring at them as he did before he retreated. Kiru rushed over to Shadow,''Are you okay?'' she asked, her eyes filled with concern.

Shadow shakily started getting up, wincing in pain."F-fine." He lied, limping on his front leg, the wound where Spike had used Crunch was bleeding.

She frowned,''No you're not...'' Kiru studied the wound for a second, she then scooped up some snow ad pressed it against the bite mark ,''okay, that should numb the pain a little...'' She looked at his face ,'' We need to get you to the den...'' she said in soft tone.

Shadow let out a sigh of relief as she pressed snow against his wound, it did help the pain. He looked at Kiru and nodded in reply, still looking like he was in pain, but he was slightly soothed by her soft tone.

''Come on, let's go.'' she said as she began to head in the direction of her den, she kept close to his side in case he was to fall over.

Shadow weakly followed her, limping on his front leg as he leaned on her for support.

The was coming into sight, she gently nuzzled his cheek as she said in a comforting tone,''We're almost there.''

Shadow saw the den, and nodded as he continued walking, still leaning on her.

She helped him into the den and led him to a nest.

Shadow slowly and carefully lowered himself into the bed, wincing.

She went over a corner, grabbed something and walked back over to him. She dropped some oran berries next to him,''Eat these'' she said.

Shadow seemed a bit hesitant, glancing up at her, he finally took the oran berries, obediently eating them.

She went back over to her next and sat down, knowing the oran berries would heal him. She licked her shoulder, the fur was slightly stained with blood because of when Spike grabbed her by her shoulders. She glanced over to Shadow,''Thank you for helping me...''

"It's.....It's nothing.." Shadow told her, licking the blood off of his own wound, which was starting to feel better.

She laid down on her stomach, putting her head on her paws and sighed. She glanced over at him before she closed her eyes.

Shadow rested his head on the ground, sighing.

She opened one eye at him before she rolled over onto her side with her back turned towards him.
