Hailey, a delicate she-cat from the Ultra-Rich Neighborhood stood fearfully inside her cage. Just minutes ago, while she had been wandering the streets of the dump with her boyfriend, Jackson, when some stupid Twoleg had swept down, grabbed her, and shoved her inside a cage. Now she was stuck in the pound. Oh well, at least she would never stop trying to escape. If only she had a plan...

Hailey glowered at the hairless Sphinx. "Who are you?" she said snobbily.

"I'm Roach..."She said in a dull tone, not looking up, her eyes squinted as she sat in her cage
thinking. -
Sniffing, Hailey turned her head away disgustedly.

"I'v herd rumors.."She started then stopped, looking away and then looking at 'that' room.

Her hair spiking, Hailey glanced at the room. A cat's wail could be heard, but then it was cut short. Shuddering, she turned away from the awful sound. "Yeah. The twolegs call it the 'death room'."

"I'v herd that i'm next.. i'v been here for 2 months.."She said, the lied down, her head dove into her paws covering her face up.

Feeling a bit sorry for the old she-cat, Hailey continued to push on the latch of the door. Frustrated, she got up and clawed at the latch. To her surprise, the door clicked and swung open. But at that moment, a twoleg walked into the room. He shouted as Hailey jumped and planned her escape. But then she remembered the old she-cat. This was no way to die. She ran over and hit the latch until the door to Roach's cage opened.

a two-leg came in with a stray she-cat that was expecting kits soon and shoved her in a cage."stupid two-legs"she muttered grooming her sleek ginger fur

Roach walked out and jumped onto a near by shelf, examining the room then looked at a window that was slightly cracked.

Hailey raked her sharp claws into the twoleg who had just dumped the pregnant she-cat. "Come on, let's get out of here!" she called back to Roach and the she-cat.

"How about that window?"She said calmly.

"i'm not arguing with that"said the she-cat padding over to hailey."oh.my name is tawnystep"she said.

Hailey nodded. "Hailey. Now let's get out of that window Roach mentioned." She hopped over to the Sphinx and just could barely squeeze through.

Roach looked back, and went threw the window as well, smacking it hard with her tail so it would shut and followed after.

"Come on, follow me." Hailey said and she jumped onto and out of the chain link fence. They were near the dump, so they would have to rest there for the night.
