    Anais made it back in what felt like a shorter time than it took her to get to the view point. as she entered the hut, Jericho didn't miss a beat as he got up from the bed and said, "Alright... time to go... we have a lot of travel."

    Jericho waited until everyone was out of the hut before he let the spell dissapear. Anais and Jericho led the way towards a large mountain, the peak seemed to rise far above the clouds themselves, "we just need to get through the forest then we have a straight climb to the top." Jericho affirmed.

    Jericho made his way quietly through the forest, while Anais scouted from above.

    "so... Satu, how much do you know about living off the land?" Jericho began as he traversed a fallen tree.

    "well... then this is a perfect opportunity for you to work on those skills..." Jericho replied without looking back, but directed his next question at Juliana, "Jewel..." he paused for a second, not understanding why someone would give their daughter that name, "... if you had to make a choice between your life... or Satu's... which would you choose? and I don't mean trading places with him."

    Juliana arched a brow slightly still as quiet as could be. "It would be no contest" Jewel said narrowing her sharp green eyes "Satu...though Mr. Grumpy dragon would want other wise..."

    "are you cmpletely sure...? because most often when someone says that... when a time would come when they'd have to make a choice like that, they don't often follow through." Jericho replied before gaining some speed and sliding under a log.

    You could see Jewel's anger spread through her entire body "Satu helped me through more hard times than you could ever even think to know! He is my family! You don't have a god darn clue what I would do for him, GOT IT!" Juliana spoke the truth when she said what she did. She hated being questioned twice about what she would do for Satu.


    "Whoa! Whoa!" Satu said catching up to lay a hand on her shoulder "He doesn't know you Jewel...He was just making sure" Juliana anger seeped off of her body.

    "no actually... it was because I had to make the same choice between me... and my brother... I had grown up telling him that I would always be there to protect him... but when I finally had to make the choice between his life or mine... I chose mine." Jericho hated admitting that he had been a coward before in his life, but that was the truth, and he couldn't hide from it.

    "I am NOT you" Jewel pointed out in a sour manner "I fought hard to try and keep what I had...but then it was taken away from me anyway...I'm NOT going through that again"


    Satu told her to shush.

    "then get stronger so Satu won't have to save you when you get hurt. I lost everything when I was young too... But I didn't need Anais to save me, I learned from another Dragonfriend how to be strong on my own, and even stronger with Anais... a bond where only trust can help you." Jericho replied, raising his voice only a little.

    "The people are greedy beings" Jewel replied darkly her green eyes shadowed with her pain "If you can prove to me that I can trust someone other than Satu then I'll stand on my head...I didn't meet Satu until three years after it happened so don't go thinking I've used him as my crutch..."

    Jericho countered with a very serious tone, "Trust is not something that can be proven without giving some to someone else... but you have already begun to trust me, you just haven't thought about it yet. as you have with Anais, and even the very knowledge that we have a training ground... Trust cannot be taught or proven unless some is given in the first place."

    Jewel stopped putting her hands on her hips and lifting gaze up at the man for she was a short woman "I TRUST Satu! He says you can make me stronger so believe HIM not YOU!"


    "Jewel stop acting like a child...If I didn't know you better I'd think you had a crush on the guy" Satu grumbled before Jewels fist was balled up in his shirt dragging him down to her eye level. It looked kind of silly for such a short woman to due so.


    "What did you say?" Jewel hissed though there was color in her cheeks as she continued to chew Satu out for his statement.

    "think about it... you spent the night in a building that I..." he emphasized the 'I' before continuing, "...created with magic, while I was the only one on watch duty..." once again he stressed the 'I' before continuing, "...and now you are travelling with Anais and I to a training ground that we located about a hundred years ago." Jericho said without looking at either of them. he continued to move his way through difficult underbrush.

    Jewel turned hissed as Jericho continued "I was injured and fell asleep, I trusted Satu would be smart enough to know what was the smart thing to do while I was passed out...I only came BECAUSE of him" Satu sighed rubbing the back of his neck. Juilana had one thing going for her...and that was her way of venting.


    "Shut up and move" he grumbled gently pushing her along.
