ah yes, Taqu wasn't feeling like himself today. instead of being chirpy and understanding, he felt like he was in an enclosed space, just a cat peering out into the light from the darkness. the brown tabby tom was standing near the edge of the flowing river, feeling as if a day by the cool water might clear his thoughts. but no, this process actually made Taqu more and more paranoid but he couldn't understand why. he couldn't even remember what happened last night and things were a blur if he did. all he remembered was that he indeed wasn't in the camp. Taqu sighed and gazed once into the river before heaving himself to his paws, trudging his lonely way back to camp. what worried him worse was that he couldn't remember who the Hell his apprentice was. the only things he could remember was what his name was, what clan he was in, and he had a vague memory of who his parents were. the question that kept coming back to him was...what was happening to him?

  • Sparkpelt jumped in the river and clawed her way back up with 4 minnows and 5 catfish,She spit them on the shore and hunted a few water voles followed by Dreamtail,A dark Tom that dosent think of the bright side of things,He swan n the water and caught 6 catfish, and one water vole,All he wanted to do is curl in his den and eat his prey,That's all he wanted to do every day.He wanted to doze off..

Taqu saw the two cats and he reluctantly padded up to them, hoping they wouldn't mind his company. as Taqu reached them, he halted a few paces away, shuffling his paws nervously. he could scent Riverclan on them so he knew they were apart of the clan. "Umm..hello. What are your names?", he greeted with a small flick of his tail. he wasn't sure if he remembered them and he wanted to start off fresh by greeting every cat in Riverclan, if that was possible.

  • Mistpetal had been relaxing near the river, taking a break after leading a border patrol around the Riverclan territories. She had spotted a brown tabby sulking by the flowing stream, but didn't approach in case he wanted to be alone - he sure looked like it. But now that two other warriors had appeared, she watched in amusement his continuous glum expression as he made his way over to greet them. Her whiskers twitching, the powerful bengal she-cat rose from her feet and approached the three.

"Why so stiff?" Mistpetal threw a question at the tom instead of a greeting, clearly entertained by his presence. Her gaze flickered to the other two, and she offered them a nod instead, sitting herself down near the river.

  • Dreamtail shook his head"Im Dreamtail,And that's Sparkpelt, you?"He gave him a tiny yawn,Sparkpelt gave them a tiny nod,and smirked,She picked up her prey and offered it to them,"You sure look like you deserve a break,How about it?"She asked still with a grin,And licked her fur.

Taqu looked sullenly at Mistpetal, his pale blue eyes dull. "I'm sorry, I can't remember a lot. It's hard...", he apologized, flattening his ears in a sort of embarrassed way. he turned to the other two cats. "I'm Taqu and no thanks, I'm not that hungry." he added, shuffling his paws as he looked at them. normally, he would love this amount of company but now, he couldn't decide whether he liked it or not. life in Riverclan was getting harder for Taqu and he started to question whether he had amnesia or not. did that kind of genetic disorder run in his family? probably not and even if it had, Taqu was pretty sure he was dominant. pushing the thought away, Taqu focused on conversing with the cats.

  • Sparkpelt nodded and dipped her head,"I understand.."She said with a smirk and walked back to give the elders and the kits some prey and walked back to the stream chewing a fat and juicy catfish,As Dreamtail ate 2 minnows and licked his paw and rubbed it over his ear,He walked away with Sparkpelt to doze off curled next to her,

  • Mistpetal's ear twitched at Taqu's response, and she turned her head to give him a curious, if not slightly confused look, her amusement having faded. She didn't speak for a longer moment, her tail flickering behind her as she considered her words carefully. "Can't remember?" she repeated. "What do you mean?" Mistpetal hoped she wasn't intruding, but his words were so strange. Could it be he had a memory loss? He smelt like a fellow Riverclanner, so that much could safely be assumed, but not being able to remember the past... Somehow, that idea seemed both fearsome and appealing to her. But if not memories, what shapes a cat? If not their ideas and experiences of the past, what is left?

Taqu hesitated, knowing this would be complicated to explain. he decided to try and keep it short and simple, and try not to confuse any cat. "Well, I sort of can't remember anything from my past except my parents, my name, and I can't remember my apprentice.", he explained, and yes, it was the truth. he didn't know what was wrong with him and all he remembered from the night before was flashing light and a sharp pain near his shoulder area and that was it he suspected he would get his memory back by now but it seemed like luck was against him. Taqu was worried what others will think if he had this sort of problem. he hoped they wouldn't take away his apprentice, whoever that was.

  • Mistpetal paused after hearing his words, scanning the tom's face carefully to make sure this wasn't some sort of joke. But as his expression remained serious, her own turned into a frown. What could cause a sudden memory loss for a cat? An accident? Genes? Possibly the power of another cat, or Starclan? But why would anyone do such a thing?

"Well, please do offer me your name," she replied at last. "And then perhaps I could offer you my help. I'm not sure what a simple warrior like me could do, but I can try," she confessed, at least being honest. Mistpetal herself held no powers like some cats did, but if a cat was troubled by a matter this serious, she'd do her best to try and help.
