    Emberstar grinned.
    " I have no idea, but you're coming with me!" She meowed, and then mischeveously added, " if you can keep up, that is," her eyes flashed and she took off.

    Hawkblood purred as he picked up speed, "One does not simply challenge the master of birds to a race," he said as he quuckly gained on and passed Emberstar.

    Emberstar glanced back at him.
    " Master of birds? Challange accepted." She wove expertly through the familiar burning forest.

    "You don't say," Hawkblood grinned as he weaved through the forest and jumped up a tree, losing some speed but gaining some hopping among tree branches and avoiding most obstacles. He was really having fun.

    Embersytar raced on, panting but smiling as hawkblood caught up.
    here we go!she picked up speed until she was full speed.

    Hawkblood made a purr as he ran on up in the trees. He was just above Emberstar now, and he then took a massibe leap when the line of trees ended. He landed 3 taillengths ahead of Emberstar and he sprinted on.

    "Phoenixpaw!" Amberpaw called loudly over to her friend. (?) ;) She bounced over to the shecat, "Are you going to the gathering too?!" She asked cheerfully flicking her tail while doing little bounces up and down in excitement. Her amber eyes glowed.


    Pheonixpaw smiled.Although Amberpaw was older and had been an apprentice longer than her(?),they where still good friends,best friends come to think of it.''No,Sunstreak isn't going so I can't go''she looked down.''But I can defend a Shatterclan attack if there is one!''she licked Amberpaw.

    Emberstar finally skidded to a halt, her nose at hawkbloods shoulder as hey ended the race.
    " Wow, hawkblood! Youre pretty fast! I guess you won," she meowed good naturedly.

    Hawkblood dipped his gead respectively and licked Emberstar on the ear. He purred and meowed back, "I guess I did ... I should've let you win," he smiled at the she-cat. He looked about, wondering whete they were.

    Amberpaw giggled, "Im sure we can get you to go!" She meowes mysteriously. "Watch and learn." She laughs running up to her mentor. "Can Pheonixpaw come with me to the gathering!!" She begged; giving little bounces up and down excitedly, her amber eyes glowing.

    Embermist gave him a glare.
    " Nope. You won fair and square. I love a challange! Dont ever 'let' me win, you hear?" She hissed playfully, batting at his ear witha soft paw.
    " come on, we had better get back to camp. Its time we start traveling to the gathering," she murmured wistfully, wanting to stay with hawkblood longer but knowing she had a clan to lead.


    Magmaleaf chewed his lip, looking down at his pleading apprentice. He sighed in defeat.
    " Fine, fine, but emberstar and hawkblood need to approve." He meowed, nudging her shoulder lightly.

    Hawkblood nodded and started the walk back home. He regretted that they didn't do anything else, but he knew he had responsibilities as deputy.

    Emberstar twined her tail with his.
    " Lets not run this time. I want to stall as long as possible," she chuckled, purring.

    Hawkblood purred in agreement. This was fun anyhow. He almost wanted to abandon his duties and leave the clan with Emberstar, alone together.

    Amberpaw leaned in closer to Pheonixpaw grinning excitedly. "Oh my Starclan! It will be so much fun!" She giggled in a high pitched girlie sound. She flicked her tail and took a step back.

    We fought off shatterclans patrol and are preparing for a gathering, in which we will start finding possible recruits for our rebel army.
