  • Fallon looked at the T.V, she could see the reporter sweating. Is he hot? Or is something going on. Fallon saw he was talking about a shooting in California. Then he changed the subject. "Folks, there is an infection going around, several people are dead and-" the screen became staticy and then i heard screaming from outside.

  • Alexandra yelled as she jammed the butt of her rifle into the zombie's head. It fell and she put a bullet into its head. For all she knew, she was the only human left. She was too focused on fighting to check. The zombies had come so quickly. People were outside having fun, working, talking... and then a horde of groaning undead had stumbled in. The news and police had quickly shown up, but they were eaten or transformed. She had run into her house and gotten a gun. Her parents were on vacation. Finally, all the full zombies were dead. But there were still a several writhing humans still in the change process. She ran.

  • Jake sat in the roof and spotted Alexandra, "Hey you." He said as he shot a zombie behind her. "The roof is safe, I'll pick them off while you run over here." He pulled the spring of his Intervention and aimed.

  • "Hurry up and come over here." He said as he shot another one in the head and pulled the spring. "I ain't getting any younger."

  • Alexandra pretended to look offended, but secretly she thought this boy was cute. Stop it, she told herself. This is a zombie apocalypse. You don't have time for romance. She ran over and continued killing zombies.

  • "I threw a party as soon as I saw this on the news." He said cheerfull before shooting another zombie. "So far I killed almost 20 of these things."

  • "I didn't keep count. My parents are on vacation. I'm home alone for a few days. Do you know what happened in Florida? How did this start?"

  • "Maybe it'll be in the news or something." Alexandra said, shooting the last zombie in the head. "You should load up on supplies and get out of here while we can. Where's your family?"

  • "They're all dead." He said. "Killed my family when they were turned." He looked at her and smiled.

  • "Well we could go to my house." He told her. "I have an RV parked in the front. We could use it to get out of this town and look for somewhere safer." He checked the windows, zombies walked around, some ate, some walked.

  • Alex glanced out the window. "That's your RV? You know, you're taking your family's deaths quite calmly." Alex started making some food. "Hey, what do you want to eat?"

  • "I'm not supposed to take everythimnh seriously," He said. "I gotta keep my mind preoccupied."

  • "I do the same. Just hide everything and smile, right?" Alex gave a short, slightly bitter laugh. Then she took two soda cans from the fridge and offered one to Jake.
