  • Bluestreak let a deep growl rumble in his throat; no cat talked about his home like that. He shifted, getting more comfortable and trying his best to ignore the two she-cats. "This is a fresher wound," he told Kokopaw as he touched his nose to a long scar on his shoulder.

  • Kikipaw saw Sunburst's scar, but she wasn't thinking about that. "I think you left because you and I are not so different."

Kokopaw sighed at his sister and fetched some of the ointment. It had chewed-up leaves, cobweb, raspberry and other soothing plants in it. "Here." he spread some gently over the scar. "My father almost made it to Medicine Cat. Almost." he whispered as he applied it.

  • Sunburst simply nodded to Kikipaw, standing. "I'm going hunting." She announced quietly. Not that they would care. She slipped out of thee cave, padding over the ground quietly.

  • The large blue-gray tom looked up a Kokopaw then quickly directed his yellow gaze back to his scar. "I bet he would've made a fine one, at that." Bluestreak mewed quietly.

  • Kokopaw smiled. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Kikipaw hissed at Bluestreak. She wasn't used to hearing her father praised, and wondered if Bluestreak was mocking Jailbird. With a final, inky-black glare, she turned and followed Sunburst.

  • Sunbursts ears flickered as she heard Kikipaw following her. Without a word, she headed into the forest, her paws silent as they slipped over the ground.

  • Bluestreak shook his head. "I'm good, thanks." He gave a soft purr then leaned to one side, making himself more comfortable.

  • Kokopaw nodded. "Get some rest then."

Kikipaw followed Sunburst, her white paws delicately moving, barely touching the ground. She was almost gliding.

  • Sunburst lowered herslef, scenting rabbit nearby. She crept forward slowly, her paws barely touching the ground as she stepped forward lightly.
