meet poppy, an eighteen year old female who's just beginning to discover that she is, in fact, bisexual. she's been friends with this girl since freshman year, had sleepovers, cried on her shoulder, had crazy naked blacklight parties. and nothing, no feeling whatsoever.

but now, out of no where, she feels something different. something she's not too sure she wants to feel. but she feels it anyways. where will it take her? what will happen? who the heck knows.

also, poppy drinks and smokes. does drugs, that sort of thing. said friend will also do those things, it's just their way.

poppy grinned as she slid down the banister. her friend was nearly hear, she could feel it.

normally, poppy wouldn't be so excited about having a friend visit. friends have been visiting her since she was little. but this was no ordinary friend, no ordinary visit. this was going to be fun.

she patted her pocket lightly, checking for the pack of cigarettes she'd put there earlier. those, the bottle of vodka she'd stolen from her father's cabinet, and whatever her friend was going to supply: they had a regular party planned. of course, just a party of two, but a party none the less.

  • Ruby made her way to Poppy's house, excited to have a party of two with her friend. She had a few things sitting in the passenger's seat as she drove. She smiled and soon made it into the driveway of Poppy's house.

  • a car's engine from outside had poppy up on her feet again, thanking the lord she had no faith in for her strong ears. ruby was here!

she rushed to the front door, swung it open, letting it hit the other wall with a bang. she went to continue to her friend's car, but thought better of it and turned to quickly shut the front door. poppy was excited, but not stupid: misty and magy, the older two, were smart enough to stay inside, but the new little kitten nala would dash out at any chance given to her.

with a little skip in her step, the curly red-head went to ruby's door, knocking on her window with a gentle fist. 'so, what'dya bring, ruby?' she asked, not beating around the bush at all. the girl held up the cigarettes she's bought, showing part of her loot. 'i got a bottle upstairs, too,' she grinned.

  • Ruby smiled and rolled down the window. "I got a few more packs of cigarettes and a couple cases of beer. Got it all on my way here." Ruby said as she got out of her car. She walked over to the passenger's side and opened up the door, revealing three cases of beers and a few packs of cigarettes. She took the stuff out of her car and started towards the front door.

  • [size=8]poppy didn't know whether to be happy or sad; it was usually ruby who got the more hardcore stuff for them. and, of course, beer was good, and cigarettes were good, but... it hadn't been what poppy had thought. still, she had plenty of numbers to call if it came to that, and she could get them whatever they wanted in a matter of minutes. tonight would be fine, no matter what.

with a smile, she followed her friend, grabbing the last case of beer from the car. 'we should probably hurry and get this upstairs; i don't know when my parents will be home, but lord knows they'll be pissed if they see any of this!' she grinned and led the way, dashing through the house and up the staircase to her bedroom.

it was messy, but that was how poppy liked it. a queen sized bed lay against one wall, while a chair and couch faced it on the opposite. the television in the corner was already flashing with some comedy central show, the kids on screen cussing loudly.

'well, it's not much, but it's home, you know?'

  • Ruby smiled and followed Poppy upstairs to her room. She set down her things and looked around. "Your room really reminds me of my own." Ruby said.

  • poppy smirked and laughed. 'that's the first time i've heard anyone say that.' and it was true: most people just laughed at the mess, or stared at it in disgust. 'but thanks, i guess.'

she flopped into the chair, putting the case of beer she'd brought inbetween her perch and the couch, and pulled out a bottle. she took a long swig of it, the brown bottle nearly vertical as she drank. 'pretty good brew,' poppy mused, wiping the back of her hand across her mouth. 'and thank god, it's cold too!'

  • "Yeah, I made sure they were cold before I bought them." Ruby said with a smile as she pulled out one of the beers from the open case and taking a drink.

  • 'well, don't just stand there, grab a seat!' she waved her hand in the direction of the sofa, where, though there were boxs and blankets and who-knew-what piled at one end, the side closest to poppy was cleared.

she smiled at ruby, taking another swig of the beer. 'so what do you all wanna do tonight?'

  • Ruby smiled and sat down on the sofa. "Depends. What do you want to do tonight?" Ruby asked before taking another swig of her beer.

  • poppy shrugged. 'i dunno,' she said truthfully, her eyes thoughtful. 'i can probably call some people up, get us some stuff, but it depends on what you want really. i'm not loaded with cash, honestly.' she frowned a little, tired of not having a darn job.

turning her attention to the tv screen, poppy let out a short burst of laughter, her eyes sparkling as she watched poor kenny get killed once again.
