Candy continued to listen to the music, reaching for her paper to continue the drawing and then she spotted the candy necklace. She looked up at Max before he walked off, and examined it closely. It was so cute remembering how she used to wear those all the time for school showing off her fake jewelry. She smiled a little, putting it on carefully. It was kind to give it to her.

Candy, not wanting Max to be embarrassed, passing him a not reading: Thank you. -C. She smiled and passed him the note. She loved the kind gesture, and would remember.

(Ack! My terrible post above, I wasn't looking as I typed. Sorry!)

The teacher came back in, staring at the class intently. "I see everyone's done.. you can go on to your next class." she said, though it was 20 minutes before the next period. She got up carrying her bookbag out to the hall. "Go to the principle, Max.." she heard the teacher say as she left. There was a free period today since it was the teachers meeting, that usually lasted 50-60 minutes, she got 80 or 70 minutes of whatever she felt like doing. Normally she'd hang with Ginger, but Ginger didn't show up since the morning encounter. Candy sat by the curb, listening to music and resting her head on her knuckle. Boredom.

Mr. Luis glared at him threw his small rectangular shaped glasses. "Son, I got a bone to pick with you. Take a seat," he said, not caring if he really did. "You acted like a imbecile, yelling at a teacher and me, also fighting with Tom." he said shaking his head. "I'm 'afraid' to say that you'll be expelled if you keep this up. Be a better student and be respective, and only then will I let you move on. College should be on the mind. Not whatever you think you are." he finished. "Go on, get." he said, waving a hand and a finger towards the door.

Candy looked over, taking off her earplugs and cocking a eyebrow. "Hello, Max." She greeted him hiding the surprise. He'd only come if he needed help of some sort, or about to pick at her. "What can I do for you?" She asked, turning her head back to face the road. She still wore her candy necklace because she truly liked it. Her red hair looked brighter in the daylight, and her few freckles were barely visible.

Candy sighed softly. "Okay." She answered simply. "Well, don't call names, keep silent, and do your homework." She shook her head, this was her she was describing. The silent one, the unnoticed one, the worker. Everything."I'm not as perfect as you think I am, but I'll help as much as I can Max." She blinked slowly and looked over to him. "Lemme guess, Luis acted like a bitch." She said with laughing eyes. Candy thought he was, and was surprised he threatened Max to being expelled.

"Na, I can't pull it off like you." Candy replied. "But, teaching you to be 'perfect' and teaching me to be rebellious sounds a bit like a comedy." She said with a slight laugh. "You'll get it soon." She added, tucking a falling strand of hair from her face. She stared out at the cars sweeping down the streets and frowned, remembering the night before. Her dad left marks on her arms from the night before, and they were clearly visible. She shook the thought out of her head.

Candy sighed softly. "I crashed my father's car. He got angry and um.. Well you can tell." She said softly. She hated to admit stuff like that, but it happens so much that it wouldn't be a secret. She looked over, "Sort of." She replied slowly to his first sentence.

Candy shook her head. "It fine. The times almost up, we should go." she said, though it would be a solid five minutes. "Remember what I told you." she added, picking herself up and walking back to the school. She didn't know why she told him, but she did and she can't stuff words back into her mouth.

"Now, be kind to the teacher. No coming in late. And no lollygagging." Candy said, shaking her head. "Got that?" she said with a smirk.
