Snowypaw bowed gracefully and jokingly with the mouse in her mouth.

Brookcloud chuckled in amusement.

Snowypaw put the mouse on her back and sniffed the air again.

Brookcloud killed a squirrel.

Snowypaw killed a vole by digging it out. Her paws were muddy and covered in dust.

Brookcloud smiled proudly.

She tossed onto her back and said while searching the tree branches, "Do you see anything else?"

Brookcloud searched the trees, and then sniffed the air."No, I don't see, or smell anything else." she said.

Snowypaw, determined, kept her nose low to the ground and sniffed frequently.

Brookcloud kept smelling the air for prey.

"Brookcloud, what else does a warrior do besides hunting?"she asked after a moment of silence.

"Well, we fight, patrol borders, some have mates, others don't, fight off enemy animals, (which I basically just said), and I can't think of anything else." Brookcloud replied.

"When do apprentices learn to fight enemy animals?" she asked.

"I guess whenever they get attacked by enemy animals." Brookcloud replied.

"Oh. Well that makes sense." she giggled.

Brookcloud chuckled with Snowypaw.

"Ooh, look!" she piped up, pointing with her nose to a sparrow pecking for ants at a tree trunk. She crouched to the ground and crept up slowly.

Brookcloud watched Snowypaw silently so she wouldn't scare the bird away, or distract Snowypaw.
