Sootpaw helped to lay her Grandmother into her nest and took Novoice's nest out, carrying it to the medicine den. "Here's his nest" she meowed, setting it in a open space.

    Sootpaw then gives two juniper berries to Novoice who's breathing is still very distressed, "Granda, just be calm.." soothes Sootpaw. Novoice nods and his eyes slowly start to close, his breathing becoming shallower. Then he becomes still, he has died. Sootpaw brushes her muzzle on his fur lightly. "We tried..." she murmured. Woodtail then pads into the den, "I heard that dad wa--" she stops still as she sees her fathers dead body, "Da!" she sobs, all of a sudden. Ghosteye comes in after and the two brown she-cats mourn over Novoice. Sootpaw slips out, she had never been one for grieveing much. She goes over to Swiftstep and Palemoon. "Granda's dead.." she mews. Swiftstep and Palemoon close their eyes in grief. Sootpaw slips back into the den to find Rainpaw huddled close to Woodtail. "We have to preform vigil Mom..." she mews, gently helping her mother out to the clearing and then her Grandmother, Rainpaw padding silently after themm, Palemoon and Swiftstep pad in, "We'll take him out..." they meow sadly. Novoices black body is silently carried to the clearing, placed in front of Woodtail, Ghosteye and Rainpaw , then Palemoon and Swiftstep go beside their relations. Sootpaw went back into the medicine den and started to fix scattered herb piles.     [/fancypost]
