"Why not?" Blackstone asked, actually curious for once. Hey, he guessed he better learn about this place. It might be...useful.
-
"Just don't."
-
That wasn't an answer. Blackstone was tired of this.
"Why not?" the black-pelted tom repeated. "If you don't tell me, I'll go find out for myself." -
"You don't want to know."
-
Frostbite rolled her eyes. "You can go." She nodded curtly and walked away slowly.
-
"Fine, let him go."
-
"Yes, I do," Blackstone insisted, voice low and forceful. "And now, I'd also like to know why you think I don't want to know."
-
"Fine," she closed her eyes and padded to a bush pushing it out of the way a group a dark cats leaped out onto Blackstone.
-
Frostbite shrugged. "I don't even know what she's talking about." Her silver eyes glinted innocently.
-
Blackstone was taken by surprise, but tried to leap backwards out of range. He was pinned to the ground anyway. Well, this seemed familiar. Foxdung.
"Get the bloody f*** off of me," he growled. -
"I TOLD YOU."
-
Frostbite sighed, sitting down. "Of course this happens." She mutters under her breath.
-
"What I told him not to."
-
Frostbite just shrugged, watching Blackstone. She wasn't one to help any cats.
-
"No, you didn't tell me. 'Oi, there's a bunch of morons hiding in the bush' would have been telling me. Not 'oh, you don't want to know, and then I'll make them jump on you when you didn't even actually go where I told you not to'. And here I didn't think the starless cared about practical jokes. All together in this, right? Just call off your minions or whoever and I'll leave and you can go back to your life - or whatever - of spying on apprentices." Blackstone was not happy, but kept his voice to a growl. Actual yowling would just have been embarrassing.
-
"It's not a joke, that happened to me when I went there. There not my minions."
-
Frostbite looked at them with narrowed silver eyes. "They aren't mine either." She remarked coldly.
-
She glanced at Fuzzytail, she shook her head.
