"Little Nitro's gonna prove he's a man today!" A taller boy said, smirking almost tauntingly down at a younger brunette.

[align=center][size=8] Clyde glanced to the said-boy to observe him
-
Nitro grumbled something below his breathe before tensing, staring straight forward. The others behind him ran into him, confused as to why he stopped. "What's that scent?"
-
[align=center][size=8] "What scent ?" Paige asked
-
Nitro stared past Craig and Luna. "The new human who recent ate..." he sniffed. "tacos?"
-
[align=center][size=8] Clyde flushed and slightly backed away to not be seen
"Thats Craig's friend." Celestia replied -
"That's Nitro, one of the best, if not the best, trackers. He could track a human from ten miles away in his sleep." Luna told Clyde. "Don't worry, no one's gonna hurt you."
-
[align=center][size=8] Celestia flashed him a look, as if to tell him not to.
-
Nitro shook his head, continuing along and the group followed him. "Is that going to be everyone?" Luna asked, looking up to the sky. The moon was almost halfway through its journey and so were they.
-
[align=center][size=8] Celestia blinked, her gaze casting along the group
Paige remained still and quiet where she was, the cold night breeze ruffling her hair. -
"Yea. It will be if the girls stay room again." There were two other girls who weren't that into the games. They were the most passive of the group. "Players?" Craig asked. Luna, Nitro, and a few others raised their hands, coming into the middle of the clearing and facing him.
-
[align=center][size=8] Clyde watched, having no idea what was going on
-
"For the sake of Nitro and Clyde, we'll hear why we do this every year." Luna rolled her eyes as Craig continued. "For as we are known, we are creatures of the night, so we gather, at midnight on the longest night to show off who has gained the most skill in the past year. Still with the record, Luna stands tall. Only one has ever beaten her. So may the odds prove that you become the second. How about we show them how this is done, Luna?"
The girl vamp stepped forward when her name was mentioned, casting a quick glance to Clyde and wincing. "Name, Luna Mongedo. Most recent kill..." she swallowed, closing her eyes. "Bebe Stevens, 23:21. Territory, North and nortern South Park." she kept her eyes closed tight, afraid of Clyde's reaction to this.
-
[align=center][size=8]
Celestia flinched, clenching her teeth in fear as he glanced to Clyde.
Luna, if you were smitten over Clyde like I think you were, you may have just lost him.
Celestia could see the color drain quickly from his face, looking as if he might puke or cry. Or both. -
Luna remained shut down, her fangs digging into her lower lip. "Nitro?" Craig continued, trying to get their minds off of it.
"Name, Nitro Piexes. Most recent kill, Thomas Scott, 22:18. Territory, East and eastern North Park."
-
[align=center][size=8] Paige blinked and looked up, glancing to Nitro then Craig quietly
-
Craig nodded, continuing on until they reached the last vamp. "Are these all the players?"
-
[align=center][size=8]
"I think so."
Celestia murmured in reply, looking to her twin to see how she was -
Luna was shaking now, looking on the verge of screaming. "Whenever the moon is halfway through the sky, you will all begin your hunt for humans. You will be back here within the hour and begin the fights." Craig stared at the moon. "And..... go!" Luna disappear in a instant, the others running out of the clearing.
-
[align=center][size=8] Once the others appeared to be gone
Clyde sat on the ground and curled up, feeling numb with silent pain.
The dew of rain hours before they came here clung to the grass
And as he rested his cheek against the wet ground, the dew tickled against his cheek
And he submitted his mind to blankness for a very long time.
