"Do I hear a better idea? No. So get in, mousebrain." she meowed. Cesiumkit snuffled around a bit before rolling over on her back, grinning. "Grasspaw brings me stuff all the time, especially this stuff. It helps me sleep sometimes, and he knows when I'm feeling down. I'm his favorite." She sat up, head held high with pride. "He's almost a warrior, you know. He's really smart and quick, and he's really nice, too." Her tail lashed in anticipation, and she jumped on a leaf rattling by in the wind. She looked up, chest forward, eyes sparkling. "I hope I get to be his apprentice when he's a warrior!"

She plopped back on her rear and sat there, daydreaming for a moment, a small smile on her maw until a whistle of the wind got through to her skin. She leaped up, electrified, and glanced at Arcanepaw.

"Ready?" she asked, shaking off a few bits of dried leaves.

ooc: what if grasspaw dies or gets killed or something, and poor cesium goes crazy. this happens when they're apprentices, btw. anyways, she goes crazy and she gets corrupted and then BOOM. she's evil. x3 whaddaya think?

i'm never changing who i am.

"[b]Alright, but why would he bring me lavender in the night?" He meowed pointedly, pointing a paw at the batch of lavender on the ground. He sat stubbornly on his hindquarters, glaring at the batch of lavender. He turned to Cesiumkit. "You seem proud of yourself," he meowed sarcastically, standing up now as he padded towards her, avoiding the lavender.

ooc omg that's a really good idea yes i would like to be a part of this c~:

    Cesiumkit flicked an ear irritably.
"Whatever. My scent'll probably cover yours up anyways. Let's go." She started trotting into the trees, tail held high in excitement. "Wonder what we'll find. Maybe we'll catch something!"

She looked back at her companion, blue eyes wide.
"What do you want to find? I wanna catch a bluebird. Or an owl! I'll be like a tribe member, and I can bring back all the kits feathers and down! Or maybe we'll find a beehive, and we can steal the honeycombs! Or maybe we'll find herbs and we can bring them back to Legendseeker! Oh wait...but then we'd get caught because where would we get the herbs from if we hadn't been out? Or maybe..." she prattled on, unable to stop jabbering.

Arcanekit held his tail up in celebration, flicking his tail as he scampered after the she-kit. Damn, he was good at getting his way! "[b]I'm suuuuuuuuuure we'll catch something," he meowed in his typical smart-ass tone. "Four moon old kits with no training what-so-ever! I bet you we're gonna have a LOT of luck."

Sure, he was ruining the good mood. But damn, he loved proving people wrong. This was a bad character trait, and he never really meant to hurt anyone along the way - but he just got enjoyment out of it, is all. "Chances are that even if we did catch something, we wouldn't be able to bring it back to camp because they would recognize our scents on the freshkill and our tiny teeth and claw marks." He flexed his tiny claws to enthuse his point.

Cesiumkit stopped trotting along and glared daggers at her irritating companion.
"You're an idiot." she responded bluntly, displaying her own negative trait. "An idiot and a killjoy."

"[b]Hey!" Arcanekit meowed, struggling to catch up to Cesiumkit as he fumbled and on his paws that were slightly large for his small kit body. "I might be a killjoy, but I'm not an idiot!" He defended his intelligence by attempting to bat at her rear playfully, knowing that she was only joking. "I was simply stating that we weren't going to catch anything - because, let's face it, we're not going to."

Realizing that Cesiumkit had haltered to a complete stop, he faltered and then sat clumsily beside her. "Why are we stoppin'?" He meowed, gathering himself to his feet again as he bounced on his paws. "We have to get going - we only have so long before the sun starts to rise and the cats in the camp start to wake up!"

"Calm your butt," she mewed lazily. "Where do you wanna go?" Snakerocks? Sky Oak?" Cesiumkit stretched tiredly. " I can smell the lake but I don't really know where the rest of them are."

The little gray shecat rested her chin on her companion's shoulder, eyes fluttering in fatigue.
"We'd better hurry," she mumbled without realizing she had just repeated what her friend had said.

Arcanekit's tail flicked as he leaped to his paws, skittering away from his companion. "[b]Can we go to Sunningrocks? Snakerocks sounds dangerous." He glanced towards the direction of Sunningrocks, knowing it was extremely risky. Patrols were likely to be scouting around it when the sun rose, but he would rather be caught by a patrol than bit by an adder.

It was funny, Arcanekit concluded, that kits sneaked out all the time and the Clan really hadn't done anything to stop it. You would think they would implement more security by the nursery - he had heard stories about kits sneaking out a lot. If they sneaked out as much as was implied, he was surprised that it was so easy to get out.

Arcanekit shook his fur out, racing after her as his pounds pounded the ground. The adrenaline rush had started again, and he excitedly bounded after her as the chilly wind bit his fur. He could hear the river as he pounded ahead, catching up to Cesiumkit quickly and then took the lead, waving his tail behind in the air, almost as if he were singing the old "nah nah nee boo boo!" nursery rhyme that children sang on the playgrounds.

Ah yes, this felt like freedom.

Cesiumkit skidded to a stop, tiny claws skittering along the smooth rock.
"We're here! At least, I think so."

She padded over to the river's edge, her nose immediately picking up the familiar scent of her clanmates and another new, pungent smell assaulting her nostrils. She staggered back, shaking her head in disgust.
"Ick. Riverclan cats stink!" She weaved through some tall river rushes, dipping her head for a cool drink. She looked into the water, brown eyes wide with curiosity. She leaned back onto her haunches, reaching out a mischievous paw once in a while and swatting at the little silver darts halfheartedly.

Her bushy silver tail wavered amusedly among the reeds, a pair of ears pricked above it all.

Timidly, Arcanekit followed Cesiumkit as he glanced over the river. His tail waving wearily in the air behind him, he padded beside her, gazing into the water. "[b]What does it feel like?" he meowed, furrowing his brows. He hadn't ever seen so much water in one place! It was quite fascinating to him, and he dipped a paw in, leaping back due to the chill.

Slightly taken aback, he dipped his paw in again, swirling it around to familiarize himself with it. "Have you been here before?" His meow was hushed, and he was still glancing around him to make sure that they weren't about to get caught.

Cesiumkit winked secretively, wading into the water up to her ankles.
"I can't trust you," she mewed innocently, eyes wide. "This is only the first expedition."
She looked down into the clear water, ears pricked. The moon shone high above the pair and Cesiumkit's fur shone like the silver river.

Resisting a squeal, Arcanekit batted a paw at Cesiumkit. "[b]You little sneak!" he cried out, his tail lashing playfully. "You can't do this more than once! It's a rite of passage, not a tradition!"

Arcanekit was starting to feel more comfortable and he splashed his paw into the water, easing himself into the somewhat calm river.
